Which bus route deserves to have the artics on service even through the routes are in assigned depot?

Do you mind elaborating? Are you asking what other routes besides the ones that currently run them should they be on?If so,I would say the 14 and the 20 as those are very crowded routes.

Correct

I have a very nice list of routes and even individual trippers that need the super snakes, but will they get them WITHOUT ordering more? Probably not.

But for the sake of argument, in reference to the current upcoming boondoggle that is coming out of 1234 Market, I will say this: (clearing throat)

EXPRESS SERVICE

The 14 don't need artics, but a complete overhaul of that lines operations, including the million and a half cutbacks and diversions that it does, including direct express trips to IRS and Byberry.

Now think of this: all Oxford Valley and select Neshaminy trips operate LSE to Red Lion, supplemented by Rt. 1 busses running express up and down the entire length (and finally going to a properly advertised 20 minute street) and even diverting to FTC if the ridership allows it (and its there). SEPTA for years tried their hardest to keep employers in the NE happy at the cost of the regular line passengers. No more.

The route that I want to see on the is route R (transit), not the school version.
Transit's R (Frankford)
School's R (Midvale)

I heard they may run some artics on the 14 and base it out of Midvale district.
That would be a pretty bis assignment switch and a lot of dead-head time to get to the 14 route.

More than likely the 14 will continue to be based out of Comly. Laugh if you must but I think if even more trips were added to the line(with Frankford & Midvale depots supplementing for the extra service), this may make the line more bearable. It is April. I wonder if any talk has been circulating out of Comly for any of this to come about.

A train of thought. Any opinions?

Comly: retaining everything that it currently runs on the 14.
Frankford & Midvale: supplementing the extra service to be added to the existing service patterns on the 14.

During the weekdays, there are trips on the 14(immediately following the pm peak periods, like the 7:00pm 14 to Oxford Valley) that are lightly used.

Then as the evening progresses, ridership on the 14 "escalates" into overdrive, both directions.

Well the 14 has to be based out of Midvale in order to have artics operating on it. Perhaps they will try and train some "now comly operators" on those buses... Kinda like what they did for the route 9 when it was transfered from Allegheny to Midvale.
