Any suggestions? In Chester County, something is better than nothing, as long as it isn't an Eldorado or Champion.
I can live with the ElDorados, but get rid of the Chumps...

That said, with my new job, I have to take the 314 every day, so I'm stuck on those Chumps. What I've noticed is that most of the peak hour ridership is coming off of the 104 and boarding either at Market and Bolmar (across from Dunkin Donuts) or at Paoli Pike near the West Goshen Shopping Center en route to either Brandywine Business Park or Goshen Corporate Park.

What I'd like to see is SEPTA take the existing 104 short-turns to Newtown Square Corporate Campus and extend those trips to Brandywine Business Park via Goshen Corporate Park as follows:

ROUTE 121 (this designator will be available soon once the changes on the 52 are finalized) - 69 ST TERMINAL to BRANDYWINE BUSINESS PARK via West Chester Pike and Newtown Square Corporate Campus

W/B - Existing 104 routing from 69 St to West Chester Pike and Bishop Hollow Road, T/L Bishop Hollow Rd, T/R Campus Blvd through Newtown Square Corporate Campus, T/L West Chester Pike, T/R Crum Creek Rd through Edgmont Square S/C; T/L Rock Ridge Rd; T/R West Chester Pike; T/R N Chester Rd (PA 352); T/L Boot Rd; T/L Enterprise Drive, loop through Goshen Corporate Park; T/R Enterprise; T/L Boot Rd; T/L Wilson Dr; T/R Brandywine Pkwy; T/R Wilson Dr; T/L into QVC Studio Park; T/R Wilson Dr; T/R Airport Rd; T/R Ward Ave; T/L N Five Points Rd; T/L Lawrence Dr; END ROUTE
E/B - Reverse routing between Lawrence Dr/Five Points Rd and Bishop Hollow Rd; Existing 104 routing from Bishop Hollow Rd to 69 St Terminal

Eventually, the 314 routing through West Chester could be incorporated into the 306 routing, taking the 306 off of US 202 between Paoli Pike and Boot Rd while routing it along Paoli Pike to Airport Road and that area to serve the new YMCA complex.

A route to Goshen Corporate Park and environs while operating via NCCC would make a lot of sense since most of the ridership heading out that way is coming from Philadelphia.

In regards to suburban transit improvements, why not purchase suburban buses for the King of Prussia routes and other long routes (like the 98, 104, etc). Also, since apparently Comly can run artics on EVERY BLOCK OF THE 14 (I dunno how that ended up working), there should be no reason why a few artics can't go to Victory for overcrowded routes like the 104 and 113. DC runs artics in suburban division depots, why can't we? Either that or give the 113 more frequent service.
I don't know that suburbans would work out too well on the 98, but they'd be a perfect fit for the 93. Other than the 104, 111, 120, 123, 124/125, and perhaps the 150 (though the schedule seems to be designed based on dead-head moves to/from the other Lower Bucks routes as opposed to any other rational employment patterns at Philadelphia Park), there isn't as much of a need for a "true" suburban bus such as an MCI; a "suburban" style low-floor (Connecticut recently purchased some single-door New Flyers) might work better for those lines.

I have no idea why they shortened the 118 some years ago...it used to go all the way to King Of Prussia from Chester. Now it only goes up to Newtown Sq.

Lack of ridership past West Chester Pike, and the lack of service past there to go with it.

The 118 was cut back at the same time SEPTA tried (and failed miserably) to split the 92 into two separate routes. It really should've been cut back to Paoli as opposed to Newtown Square.

If that was the case, they may have made better off leaving the 118 as it was before(King of Prussia). King of Prussia, on the 118, was like 20 minutes away from Paoli.

God I miss those 3100 suburbans on the 118, as well as the 8400 suburbans on the 92.
