Extended 16-day Market-Frankford El Shutdown




SEPTA is preparing customers for the final extended El Shutdown scheduled to occur beginning August 8, 2008 at 8 p.m. through August 25, 2008 at 5 a.m. During this time, El service will operate to 46th Street Station on weekdays and 40th Street Station on weekends. Customers are asked to review the MSE Extended El Shutdown information detailing the El Shuttle service along with changes to other intersecting routes.

SEPTA Board recognizes Harry Haus
The SEPTA Board recently recognized Harry Haus’ heroic actions on the evening of Wednesday, June 9th when he rendered aid to Philadelphia Police officers in their attempt to restrain a violent burglary suspect at Bustleton & Harbison Avenues. “Mr. Haus typifies our SEPTA employees that go above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis,” said SEPTA General Manager Joseph Casey.

60th Street Rider Appreciation Morning
On July 22nd, SEPTA celebrated its 60th Street Station customers. SEPTA staff members were on-hand to greet riders and address customer concerns. Refreshments, giveaways, including $5 El Shopping Zone coupons were all part of SEPTA's way of saying "Thank You" to our riders.
Preview Regional Rail Schedules
New Regional Rail Schedules will go into effect August 3, 2008. SEPTA has posted previews of these upcoming schedule changes in order to aid our customers in future trip planning. Please keep in mind that these schedules are subject to change before the posted effective date. Text schedules will be posted online when the schedules take effect. Paper schedules are available in our terminals, sales locations and through Customer Service (215-580-7800) prior to the effective date.

SEPTA is pleased to announce the launch of the Plan My Trip “Partner Program” that will allow anyone to integrate the SEPTA Plan My Trip service into their own website, free of charge. You can now pre-select dates and destinations to offer a customized trip-planning feature for visitors right on your website.
