Because the Hybrids are coming in to replace the NABIS at Callowhill. Since 5001 fells under the 5001-5030 category it has been moved to Midvale. My guess they are using the FIFO method. Its possible by the end of next year, they have plans to completely move or scrap the NABI fleet at callowhill. This order main purpose is to add to the fleet of flyers; therefore, reassigning the NABIS to other depots.

This is not your conventional order of buses which has a 1:1 ratio replacement.

I'm thinking the some of the original Callowhill group of NABI's (Not counting 5154, 5156 & 5158 or 5259 - 5270) will among the last NABI's retired. The fact that they are reassigning the buses instead of retiring them outright adds some proof.

I will agree that the DE41 - LF order is one of the more unusual orders in terms of delivery, and its too early to tell at this point, since the "Hybrid Spam" hasn't begun yet.

Given the condition of NABI's at other districts, and they're relative close ages, I wouldn't be surprised if Surface Transit Operations make a clearance house of Midvale and Victory NABI's in place of Callowhill and Frankford units.

Long story short, I'm calling that busses are going to be replaced on a condition/available parts basis once the Hybrid spam gets under way, age not so much of a determining factor.

...except that there are always exceptions. I saw 5024 on the 94 Friday AM - was a bit surprised to see this since I too thought it would follow its brethren to Midvale.

5546 is at Frankford, not Comly. I just spotted it on the K eastbound.

5570 is at Comly, not Frankford. Also, could someone fix the error under Comly 2002 New Flyers so that it would be 5558-5585 and add 8173 under Comly?

Well theres quite a few exceptions with the nabi reassignments...the majority of the batch has been going to midvale until recently Southern, Victory, and even Frontier are picking up their units.
