We established the specifications of those aforementioned buses in various threads throughout the forums. Most of the information around the site (philadephiatransitvehicles.info) if you ever heard of it. Was collected after many years of research. Well in this case now we have a board with some very handy search options. Well all you need to do is type in specification. http://philadelphiatransitforums.cjb.net/search/?c=1&f=-1&q=specification |

They had the HT748 trannies, the HT740 were would put you in the mindset of a B500R tranny while the HT748 would put you in the mindset of a B400 tranny, that is how I look at it. The HT740 were more popular in intercity coaches, like the MC-9. And the HT748 trannies were i the 1982 and 1983 AN440's only. The 84-85 AN440's probably had the HT745 tranny. The DK-EZ AN440's had the ZF4HP500, not 590 tranny. |

Actually they do had the ZF Ecomat 4HP-590 transmission. The 1984-1985 Neoplans, not quite sure, more then likely they had the HT745 ?? transmission. For the 1982-1983 Neoplans, earlier brochures claim they had the Allison HT747 transmission. ![]() Did the Pittsburg Neoplans sounded like the 82-83 Neoplans? Or 84-85 Neoplans? Anyways the 1984 Volvo B-10M 60 Foot had the Volvo THD-100 Engine with ZF-590 transmission. Unknown on the number gears, but four speed seems to be likely. Five speeders were more famous during the earlier 1990s. For the RTS, the order came in three different segments: 40 footers (City) originally had the 6v71 but in the mid-80s were retrofitted with the 6v92TA engine; 40 Footers Suburbans had the 6v92TA; 35 footers (Suburbans) had the 6v71 engine but were retrofitted in 1988. All of these units had 3-speed Allison transmission, V-730. Also prior to all of their overhauls, the A/C units was located in the rear above the engine. Due to overheating issues. During their 1988 overhauls, the A/C unit was relocated on the top (Sutrak system). All Neoplans had the 6v92TA engine while delivered. The 1982-1985 Neoplans had a slightly different version of the 6v92TA engine which 1986+ Neoplans had. 1982-1985: 6v92TA MUI 1986-1989: 6v92TA DDEC (later units DDEC II). More likely these units had 253 HP. The AMG generals did not have a diesel generator; its fairly new innovative. The traction motors they had were 600 Volts, made by General Electric. Their rated HP was 155. |

I forgot the most important question: what was the fleet numbers of the 1971-76 GM's and the 1982-85 Neoplans (I know the An435's were the 1300's,and those Neoplans were 8000's but i need to know the specific numbers)
