806 need to be fixed ASAP, I rode it home today via route 66 and in my opinion, i would much rather ride in a refridgerator!

Re: Trackless heat

They have 38 coaches, and they need 34 for the load lines. Only having 4 spares is a big mistake.

The union is not happy about what SEPTA intends to do with the pension plan for new hires.
Without getting into details, all I can say is this a strike issue. The current contract ends March 15th.

I did see the 4 spares inside bay 4 and 5 at Frankford today. SEPTA should have thought about purchasing more TTs before restoring the line.

Yeah, instead of 38, they should have gotten 51. Then it will be good and there's a chance of a service increase on the route 66

829 has good heat today(02/05/09). It's serving 75-2102.

On the Route 59 they re-timed the light at Hoffnagle , from a 30 second cycle to a 60 second cycle.
Coming out of Bells Corner, you have to adjust your leaving time because of this to keep your schedule. One driver, is extremely upset about this development.

Um, hopefully that doesn't mean leaving early from Bell's Corner, as that's against transit policy. If that bus leaves the terminus early, then people can miss the bus.

Goodness knows it has happened to me enough times...

I feel your pain. The 104 bus which picks me up at 8:03 AM, gets there at 7:58 a lot of times.
I guess the radio doesn't catch him running hot.

SEPTA operators can leave terminals up to 59 seconds early, and it won't come up as 1E on the AMDT. So my advice is to be at your stop early, like I do.

830 is on 75-2102. Good heat, but the GPS is broken. The operator can push a button to call out the stops manually.

Another fun SEPTA day.

75-2101 was 20 minutes late , was caught in that shooting in Wayne Junction today. detour was from 10:05 to 10:35.

I rode 5409 in to West Chester on the 104, 7 minutes late at West Goshen. And 7 late into 69th.
Rode 5321 on the way home , a toaster inside.

819 is still missing a retriever button.

We were going to measure interior temperatures on a New Flyer bus, but my assistant was not there, long story.
