I can report I just got a call that #800 was seen EPU-ing on Wyoming Ave. This is the pilot coach that was sent back to Winnepeg for whatever they did to change it to match the other 37 units. No new picture yet.

Just this old one, from last year.

So now we have all 38 units.

Stay tuned......

Is it in service?

The coach (#800) is back At Courtland/Berridge shops this morning, 12/16/08, presumably coming back from Germantown, where they do brake work. So It should be a Frankford soon and in service.

Lets get some new pictures!

Hurray! I'll keep an eye out for it on my ventures through Frankford. It would be interesting if they kept that blue rear wall.

It had to come back someday... I hope that it doesn't have the bug eye lights at the top like the rest of the fleet!

I dunno...that old light on pole seemed like it was an accident waiting to happen.

Of course if something like a tree branch were to hit that, it would cause trouble with the poles in the back as well...

We will all give #800 and good look, my guess is it will be very similar to the other 37 that we have.
The plant had it for quite a few months, so anything is possible.

I was told 800 is still at Courtland today(12-16-08),. Is filthy inside and out, it will have to be hosed out on the inside, and washed on the outside. Then ,soon we hope, it will get up to Frankford. They always EPU, (diesel)them up there, so a bus qualified man can drive it.
That coach has been in Winnepeg since last March, and IIRC had an accident on the way up on the flatbed it was on, they hit something low, maybe they knocked that stupid pole type police light off?

somewhat back on topic, bus 834 has the awesomest heating system ever, I got on it right after riding a RR car (210) on the R5 and freezing in the snow, It was a relif, actually,to ride a TT coach in the winter. Are all of the TT coaches' heating systems programmed to only work in the snow?
