825 has good heat today,01-26-09, but has a loose radio bracket. The radio hits the operator in the head, he has to tie it with string. The shop can't fix it, because it's a minor problem 801 has a bad radio(AMDT) , it may need a ground wire, it will take an act of congress to get this fixed. The Arrott inner loop will be closed off for some time this morning. for repairs. so the 59, 75, K, & 89 have to lay over on Oxford Ave. The K & 75 will load on the Arrott Street outer stand where the 59 , J & 89 normally load this morning. fun , fun. fun.... The Arrott loop is getting new feeder cables. This is a good time to get a 4 bus picture on Oxford Ave. Routes, 59, 75, 89 & K will all be parked on Oxford Ave.for 2 days. Chuck Greene |

Big problems at J. Silvert's today . 75-2102 was stuck at 10:27AM westbound for 9 minutes while a 53 foot trailer laboriously backed into J.Silvert's. A woman passenger got off the TT and ran out to tell the business owner off. Several people are going to write nasty letters to get the guy to move his business. The street was so blocked, even a car could not get by.People were so late on that TT trip that they missed their connections. On the next trip, it almost happened a second time, but 3 cars and the trackless made it through, blowing their horns and getting a nasty look from the business owner. I'd like to meet his guy and tell him a thing or two. On a happier note, Frankford district's Jimmy Carr, today is celebrating his 40th year with SEPTA. J.C. has a 59-2001 run in the morning and he's a loader for the 66 in afternoon. Congrats, Jimmy. He says he has 2 more years. The SEPTA bus detours are messed up. It shows a the detour at Arrott for the 59 , and it should be for the 75. Chuck Greene Edited by TransitChuckG, Jan 26 2009, 07:21 PM.

818 on the 75 today, 2102 block good heat, but has a loose radio bracket. a lot of coaches have that problem, you need string to tie them up. I hope Flyer is working on a fix. Reverend Jimmy reports at 6:22 AM and he's in there at 4:30 AM , blessing everybody. Off Topic; From the SEPTA site, Glenside, Warminster, West Trenton, Doylestown and Fox Chase passengers may experience delays of up to 30 minutes during their commute due to an incident near Fern Rock station. I heard it was a work train accident. Chuck Greene |

The work was canceled for today, and looking at the forecast for tomorrow, it will probably be canceled again. Chuck Greene |

The TT's are not the only vehicles in SEPTA's fleet to have poor heat, ALL New Flyers and Artics have the poorest heating ever. They should have gone with carrier as the HVAC makers. I can't wait til summer.

I think the Neoplans and New FLyer Diesel/Hybrid buses have better heat than the E40LFR's because sometimes, the E40LFR's turn on Air Conditioning instead of low heat, which is bad in these months |
