SEPTA is creating a Transit Zone for the new 75 layover at Wayne Junction Station.
The normal, NO STOPPING signs are now up.

We still don't know when they are going to change the wires.

Greene Street is narrow.

The Trackless may have to drive with the left wheels up on the sidewalk on the left side to pass a car that is out too far.

I take that back, the street is not as narrow as I thought.

Here's a photo looking down the street.

If you want pictures of the old wire routing, get down there pretty soon. Sounds like the wire work will be done soon.

It's actually better, if you think about it,to park the TT's right in front of the train station. People will have better access to the RR lines, and will not have cross busy Germantown Ave. The old way the TT let you off at Germantown Ave. Then it went to turn into Greene St., so there was never direct access to the station entrance. Also, the SEPTA operators if need be, can use the restroom there. It will be tricky with only 4 minute recovery.

Here is an aerial view of the streets the 75 will use. Sorry the scan is so mall.
The streets that go around the white building are the ones the 75 uses. The street on an angle to the right side is Greene Street, which is being reversed. So the new 75 will cross Germantown Ave., stay on Windrim , then it will park in front of the RR station , slightly beyond Greene Street.
On the Eastbound trip, it will be Windrim, left on Wayne, left on Roberts, and left on Greene the new way, north. Then a right on Windrim , regular route.

That is a cool arrangement, I do think, that it would be better if the bus stops right in front of the Rail Station instead of across the street, is any date set in stone yet as to when the new loop is finished?

Not only will the TT stop in front of the station, it will layover there.

I have not heard of a completion date, I'm hoping the wire crew gets started soon. Your guess is as good as mine. As soon as I hear something, I'll post it here.

Hmmm, This puzzles me. When the TT comes of of layover at Windrim (Wayne Junction sta). It will have to make one sharp left turn and cut off traffic to go in the lane turning on to Wayne Ave.

About the same interference when it made the sharp left turn into Greene St. the old way.
North-east traffic on Wayne Ave. is all not that bad. You have to wait for one or two cars, then turn. Besides, turning into Wayne ave., it a nice wide street.

I just heard this morning that the STOP signs and DO NOT ENTER signs on Greene St. have been reversed & moved to the South end depicting the old loop configuration and how they travel now.

I wonder if the project was canceled? Or are they moving the signs to allow traffic to flow correctly on Greene until the wires get restrung?

I'll try to find out more.
