A member of SEPTA management was told that the route 75 rewiring at Wayne Junction will be done by the end of this week, 06/12/09. The weather looks good most of the week, anyway.

I'm crossing all my fingers and toes.....

It's 07/12/09

No progress at Wayne Junction, no new wires up. Same thing at Gregg St., no progress.
WJ was supposed to be done by the end of this week. All we see is clips and all the old wire is gone. The 75 TT drivers are upset.

Half of the wire crews are guys that bid on the job, and were old bus drivers, and have no electrical talent. I guess they learn on the job. So how can we expect any competent work to occur?

Stay tuned.....

Route 75 is running all buses [u)today[/u]. It might have something to do with the wiring job at Wayne Junction. So we might see buses all week on the 75 if they do the WJ wiring.

I just got word the Route 75 Wayne Junction wiring has been completed, they will check it with coaches when the power goes back on.

The power is off under the El for a structural inspection, that's why the 59 & 75 have buses.

When the inspection is complete, power will be restored. Coaches will return to the 59 & 75.

A friend was on a regional rail train passing through Wayne Junction
station and he visually confirmed bright new copper wires on the reversed 75 loop. When they restore power, the 75 will run on them, and the wires will discolor.....

I see the Wayne Junction Rte. 75 EPU use detour has been removed form the list.

I reminded SEPTA of this with the on-line comment form yesterday, that the wires were done.

So either that did it, or it was done by the department before my comment.

They are still inspecting the El, so power is off for the 59 & 75 for apparently the rest of the week, so that's why we see buses on the 59 & 75.

I guess 4700 Penn St. is open?
