SEPTA's DK's Were My Second Favorite Neoplans, In Fact I Remember Riding A 3100 Neoplan In Late 2004, When I Was 2 And 1/2. However, I Have Ridden All Of SEPTA's, Neoplans, 1986-1990. DK's Were Really Great, But In 2007-2008, I Went Crazy For The EZ's, I Ran Out In The Street For One, I Really Think You Would've Loved Or EZ's. Its Too Bad They Had The Plastic Seating, With DK Cushion Seats, SEPTA Would've Been More Comfortable. Neoplan DK's Did Not Sound As Old As Our EZ Neoplan's Compared From 2004 To 2008. Even Though They Got Retired At Basically The Same Age, And Were Basically The Exact Same Buses, Without W/C Lifts, Lights, And Technology, And Of Course The Seating. But They Really Did Sound Different. If I Could I Would Ride Any Of The 10 Neoplans I Remember. If You Think DK's Sound Good, You Would Literally Break Out In Tears On Riding 3464, I Know I Did. |

I once ridden a neoplan an440 that had a dd50 engine in 1998 on route 6 the day when septa just got off strike I don't remember the number of the bus but it definitely had a dd50. It sounded just like a nabi very weird

The only septa neoplans I ridden was the 82's 84's 89's and of course the 2000's. By the way I was once on a neoplan an440 on route 57 I didn't know if the driver was new or what but the driver didn't know how to get to fern rock & he ask me which way he had to go & actually had to show him how to get there. The entire route I stood in the in front given him directions. The year was 2005.

That was 3414, A Neoplan EZ, It Was Retrofitted With Detroit Diesel Series 50 & Allison B400R Back In 1994, It Was Used To Test Out The New NABI 416 Detroit Diesel Engines, Oddly Enough. I wish I was Lucky Enough To See That! |

Such a long time ago I think the vents was bigger because the back seat where I was sitting was higher than normal. The funny part about it was like riding a an460 a year before they came to Philadelphia. I guess that was another nice catch in 90's.

I have the same memory on the 124 When The DE40LFR's Were New. I was riding On 8340, and a New Driver Did Not Know How To Get To Chesterbrook, I Was going To Get Off With My Grandma At Gulph Mills, But We Still Stayed And Guided Him. I Was 8 Years Old At The Time, So It Was Really Hard For Me To Get To Gulph Mills On 476. We Actually Took The Wrong Way, On Rt 476, And Had To Drive Another Mile In West Conshohocken. We Somehow Got Into Bridgeport, We Ended Up Getting To Gulph Mills 35 Minutes Late, Im Not Sure Frontier Was Happy With Me About That One

I completely forgot about this! I saw 3200 In Late 2004! Boy, That Bus Looked Weird. It Was First Of All, Odd To See A AN440 On The 10, Even Back Then! There is A Picture Of It Here On PTV. I Obviously Didn't Take It, But Its A Cool Looking Neoplan, For My Youtube Page Im Deciding Whether Or Not To Make A 2001 Fleet Oddballs Listing, It Will Include This Bus 3200, And The One You Seek, 3414 Is Also Shown Here! Unfortunately, When I Looked Back At My Papers, I Never Rode 3414 Or 3200 After That. http://www.philadelphiatransitvehicles.info/oddballs_III.php |

I actually rode 3414 a few times...the engine did sound a little strange for a Neo, but that bus had some speed to it when it took off though...WOO!
