Well this question may be a trivial one to someone like my self who didn't start noticing the schemes on buses until mid-1996 when the NABIS came into full service. I can't seem to recall which scheme did the Neoplan EI/EZ arrived in service with? Was it the Gray Trim around the windows scheme or the White around the windows scheme. All I recall seeing in terms of EI/EZ in the 1990s were the white around the windows scheme. The only Neoplans EZs which I've remember that had the gray trim were 3440-3449. ![]() Did the Neoplan EI/Z had the black trim around the windows as well? When/Why did they change it? from what i can remember, and please correct me if i'm wrong. all of the neoplan an-440's and an-435's were originally delivered with the grey trim around the windows. i believe the white trim started around some where 1989 through 1991 when the 8000 series were overhauled. |

Back when I was a tod, I clearly remember spotting alot of Gray trims on the neoplans that ran in the city division. I spotted the white trimmed neos in the suburban areas. once in a blue moon you saw a white trimmed neo in the city and a gray trimmed neo in the suburban areas. I can't remember a Black trim on the Neoplans though. Only the Nabi's Edited by TRANSIT_FREAK, Dec 23 2008, 10:25 PM.

You are correct. The window area went white in 1993-94. Either 8654 or 8754 was the first one with that scheme. The RTS's (8000's) kept the gray/black window scheme. A handful of them had white door areas above the stripe but that was it. The NABI's (at the time Ikaruses) were supposed to come with the white window scheme but this was changed back to black at the last minute. |

I thought that was the case and I think #3486 or was it 3488 was one of the last Neoplan EZs to carry the Gray Trim around the windows. I wasn't exactly 100% sure considering around the time those Neoplans arrived, SEPTA was already changing the scheme to the white trim around the windows. |
