Does any body have a list of all the depots ran by PRT,PTC and Red Arrow?

I know some of them just not all of them.

In addition to today's City Division depots (Allegheny, Callowhill, Comly, Elmwood, Frankford, Midvale, Southern) there were the following.

Amber - Amber & Lehigh - gone long ago
Belmont - somewhere around Belmont & Girard - gone long ago
Courtland - 3rd & Courtland - closed long ago, became Courtland (now Berridge) shop
Cumberland - Broad & Cumberland - bus garage, lasted until the 50's (merged into Allegheny and Luzerne)
Germantown - still there, no regular SEPTA services based there (contract/outside funded runs only)
Hancock & Lehigh - at this location - closed, became paint shop until 50's
Haverford - 41st & Haverford - bus garage, closed in the early 60's (merged into Callowhill and Woodland)
Kensington - Kensington & Cumberland - became shop long ago, closed in the 50's
Jackson - 16th & Jackson - bus garage, lasted until the 50's (merged into Southern)
Luzerne - 10th & Luzerne - closed in the 90's, replaced by Midvale
Richmond - Richmond & Allegheny - closed in the 50's (now occupied by Wawa and Westmoreland loop)
Ridge - 32nd & Ridge - closed in the 50's (last occupant 61 trackless, moved to Allegheny)
Woodland - 49th & Woodland - closed in the 80's, replaced by Elmwood, became light rail maintenance facility

There are probably others but these are the ones coming to mind now.

Red Arrow had its Llanerch barn (at West Chester Pike west of Township Line Rd) and the former PTC Folsom barn (off MacDade Blvd near Parker Ave). Llanerch was primarily rail, Folsom was all bus when Red Arrow took it over.

Amber and Belmont were closed in the 1930's [the Depression]

Courtland was used as a training facility, then in the 50's the shop functions from Kensington and Hancock was moved there.

Germantown - regular bus operations were scattered between Allegheney[65 split], Luzerne[L, H-XH, 22, 55] and Frankford [26, K, 18 splits and the entire 8 route] in 1992. It is now a bus and Contract operations shop.

Haverford - Bus operations were moved to Callowhill when Callowhill's trolley routes were bustituted.

Kensington - shop operations moved to Courtland in 1956 [After reconfiguring the St. Louis and KC PCC's]

Jackson - bus operations were moved to Southern when Southern's Trolleys were abandoned.

Luzerne - After absorbing most of GTN's routes in 1992, the entire operation was moved to Midvale in 1995. [Note: SEPTA was using the Midvale site since 1983 when Allegheney's operations were moved to the site while the depot was being rebuilt.]

Richmond - that carbarn was abandoned when the 60 was converted to use PCC's. It had previously housed double-ended cars.

Ridge - That depot was closed in the mid 50's during the NCL consolidations, the 61 was moved temporarily to Allegheney then bused in 1961. The land was sold to the School District where Strawberry Mansion Jr. and Sr. High schools stands.

Woodland - After the 1975 fire, SEPTA tried to get out as fast as they can. They wanted to build a new depot/shop at 58th and Lindbergh, but the NIMBYs killed that, then they settled on 73rd and Elmwood as the storage facility and the original Woodland site is the LRT shop.

The Red Arrow Llanerch barn was closed in 1971 when SEPTA moved it to the 69th St yards. Kohl's store now sits at that site.

Folsom Depot was originally owned by PTC, then in 1960 it and the routes running out of the depot was sold to Red Arrow. SEPTA acquired the depot in 1970 and the depot was closed in 1980 where all bus operations [Media-Chester (old 77-80) and Mac Dade Blvd -Chester Pk routes( old 72,74,76)] were moved to 69th St

PTC also had a bus depot in Willow Groove. The Rts. 22, 55, and 74 operated out of it.

Midvale became a full time bus facility in the spring of 1997. Germantown lost the bus operations on Sunday May 16, 1993. SEPTA had a special picking(which lasted up until Sunday June 20th) to accomodate the transferring of routes to other depots & the combination of several routes, such as:

More of the BSO owl operations went to Luzerne. More of the MFO owl operatiosnw ent to Frankford(Comly?) because of this.

The 50 was abandoned. The 5 was cut back to Society Hill. The 57 absorbed the southbound routing of the former 50(4th Street) & absorbed the nortbound routing of the 5(3rd Street). The Kensington(Dauphin) & North Philadelphia(Master/Jefferson) segments of the 57 were merged with the 89. The P was elminated. The 89 routing to the Tioga Marine Terminal was elminated.I think the 73 got this routing until recently, when the 60 took it.

The 85, a Wynnefield feeder linking Strawberry Mansion & Parkside, was eliminated. The 40 absorbed the Wynnefield routing.

I beleive that around that time, the U was elminated & the 108 was further extended into the Elmwood area(further down 65th Street,Dicks Avenue, 72nd, Passyunk) & Eastwick(78th, 84th Streets).

Around that time, the 3 may have became an all Frankford line. Prior to that the 3 may have been split between Frankford & Allegheny.

The 3 was an all-Frankford line since the arrivals of the 84-8500's [BD?] in 1983. Prior to that year it was split between Frankford and Allegheny, which brought out a shocking contrast in 1980-81 when riders saw the then-new RTS's [from Allegheny] mixed with the Frankford Flxible sh!tboxes-on-wheels. After that embarrasment in 1982 SEPTA put the rebuilt GM Fishbowls on the 3 until the Neoplans arrived.

At about the same time the 38 started running to Wissahickon to compensate for the 85. When the 85 was embargoed from the Strawberry Mansion Bridge it began a long detour over City Avenue and around Wissahickon Loop.

I knew I'd miss one or two, so thanks for the addition of Willow Grove.

As for the others - Richmond did house single-ended cars for 54 in addition to double-enders for 25 and 60 (until 25 was bussed in the late 40's). Ridge was a storage barn until 1946 or so when it was partly rebuilt and 61 was moved there from Allegheny, where it remained until the tracklesses went off in 1961.

I thought Allegheny was rebuilt in place around the existing operations. I know some split routes (33, 39 and 54) moved entirely to Luzerne during the reconstruction to reduce the load, but I wasn't aware that the Midvale site was used for anything except long-term storage at that time.
