well well well...
Looks like the oldest Neoplan AN440 has now been "transformed" into a New Flyer...
"8285" is sitting in Germantown at this time, along with 8279-8299. 8293 the bus reported as serving route 65, is also limbo at Gtown.
8285.... wow... brings back memories.... so Allegheny will get hybrids before Frankford?

Once again, waiting for state tags and registration stickers.

Well since seeing 8293 last week on 65 blk 5205 I have not spotted another in service. I am wondering if 8293 was being used as a training bus for the operators at Alleghany. Hopefully something happens soon

8287 was on 9 earlier this evening. Saw it in Center City as well as at Cathedral. Signs and block display were not working for some reason.

I rode both buses pictured. 8299 went NO faster then 45mph on the freeway. There was
congestion, true, but between the zoo and the Roosevelt Expwy traffic left and right was
outracing my bus! :(
Unfortunately for a hybrid lover like me, I don't think the Allegheny units have anything to look forward to. I miss riding consistent artics on the 27 and 65. Callowhill, so far, claims the crown as having the best (and oldest) DE41LFs. Just the same as the fact that the oldest artics are the best in my opinion. (7101-7126)

Comly's and Callowhill Hybrids are the same age, they were arriving at the same times.
