I was told this morning that SEPTA is taking their Trackless operators and training them on the new Hybrid buses. It's a 2 hour familiarization course.

You never know when they will have to pull a trackless for some reason, and a bus pops up so you'd better be ready to drive anything they give you.

That makes sense, in that you figure the trackless drivers are already trained on the diesel Flyers and NABIs.

It's only a matter of time before Elmwood operators have to get trained on the Flyers - diesel and hybrids. It kinda ticked me off to see hybrids on the 102 shuttle while Bricks show up anytime there's a long-term Elmwood shuttle.

I think SEPTA was trying to impress in Sharon Hill.
But I agree with you, the Bricks should not be on the Elmwood shuttle.

Some day, when we get all the hybrids in, the Bricks will be all gone. That's the plan, anyway.
