SEPTA will one year be an all hybrid TA. And they are not alone. Baltimore MTA is in the process of changing out their entire fleet to hybrids within the next 10 years. And I do hope my next car I buy after Im done with this one is a hybrid.

As reported elsewhere, 8323 was at Frankford recently. Today it's back at Allegheny, on the 9 earlier this evening (saw it at 6th & Walnut at 5:20).

Now, I'm really confused...

That still doesn't explain what 8323 was doing at Frankford in the first place, but then again, this is SEPTA...

Same reason as 8312 and 8172, they were both there to train operators.

That's what I suspected... Considering the strange things SEPTA can do from time to time, it's just that nothing surprises me anymore...

Anyone know what was the point or reason that Allegheny got 4 extra hybrids?

I hope Septa wises up and starts getting LFRs because with all that equipment up top they would actually look like something. Right now they just look like brand new weirdos.

As long as New Flyer continues to manufacture the old style end caps thats all SEPTA will purchase in their contracts. This 2008-2011 contract is all old style and no LFRs. We all do have wishes on what SEPTA would do different. And mine. I did mention it before but I wont repeat it.

8324H is slow as . the driver of route 25 2184 blk said those hybrids are too slow--forget about making your scheudle. so I could go on and on about them but I will just say that they are pathetic.
