I guess the process to replace the snakes is underway... You're probably looking at another year or two before we even see a demo bus hit the streets of Philadelphia.

Looks poorly worded....Didn't say how many and whether or not they will replace the current fleet of artics or not. Honestly it looks like they already have a buyer in mind but put it up to keep it legal.

My personal feeling is it will be New Flyer as the new artic choice. I also suspect they might increase the order count to possibly around 200.

I think this order is pretty much is a predetermined type of thing. Looks like DE60LFs indeed, unless someone can think of who else that has hybrid-low floor artic buses.

Let's all be realistic, this contract has New Flyer written all over it...who else can fill this order?...NovaBus dosen't have a hybrid for it's model...NABI, not unless SEPTA is interested in their BRT model...Orion won't have their Citaro model on the market until 2011...Van Hool doesn't take orders using federal funding...so it will be the same old, same old...hopefully it will be their redesigned model.

Would Septa not get LFR's? What a shame if Septa doesn't. And will these buses have ISL or maybe ISX?
