The T will be serving the rarely used Penn Station station on Sunday due to Super Bowl celebration detours.

Also today, a lot of drivers had their Steelers gear on!

Free, high-performance 'T' service plan scrutinized

Here's the concept: Port Authority could expand its free-ride zone from the Golden Triangle to include the South Side and North Shore, once the connector opens. Light-rail cars could run every five minutes, 18 hours a day, seven days a week, all year.

Not sure that's needed for Sundays (except Steelers games)...

That driver of the Neoplan AN440LF is so busted as the news crew caught it on camera for running red light.

I don't know if that's a good idea...doesn't the Brown Line kind of serve the South Side and has abysmal ridership?

Yes the Brown line serves the South Side via Arlington Ave and has low ridership. Makes me wonder why they run the Brown line in the first place since the Rt. 43 Bailey covers almost exactly the same route and it runs all day.

But as for those shuttles, they would not follow the Brown Line, they'd instead follow the Blue/Red lines through the Mt. Washington tunnel, meaning they'd shave off a few minutes by not not running on the street. But yes I don't know if they'd be used that much. Might make more sense to extend the free zone over to Station Square and allow people to ride the buses free to over there instead, since so many routes go over there already there is hardly more than a few minutes when a bus doesn't go by.

Extending the free zone to Station Square would be nice. Of course, with the budget crisis PAT is facing, it may not be the best idea right now, lol.

Route Changes beginning 3/27 (PDF)

G2 is gone meaning no fast route to downtown. And no more easy way back to campus from downtown from Megabus, it was a 2-3 minute walk to the stop from Megabus under the convention center. :(

From Transit2Talk, PAT as of right now has ordered all buses back to their garages due to the snow storm going on right now.
