lol, I guess I was exaggeration a bit when I said "collecting dust". Were you guys coming back on a weekend day? Those Neoplans sure aren't used then!

Of course, it's just as sad that they used a 35 foot Phantom for that run. Sigh...
This was this past Tuesday. And it was actually an Advantage, I typed Phantom by mistake

It was snowing today, so I have some bus and light rail photos. I was out in the cold for almost 4 hours, even went up on the Liberty Bridge, and the walkway wasn't even plowed! So I am cold and wet, but have 17 good photos (in the gallery).

Just got my broke camera back from Panasonic, so I can go back to making HD videos. :D The screen is still broke and I can't see anything, so maybe I'll look for a local camera shop and see what can be done.

Also, the Nova's are supposed to be gone in the next few months, so I will be getting more videos/photos of them.

Heh, reminds me of my New York trip when I was chasing Old Looks. I was cold and hungry and hurt my finger, but I got my shots (despite 3 nearly dead batteries).

Oh no about the Novas! Please don't tell me they are getting more Gilligs!

How is Pittsburgh in the winter? Im thinking sometime this year on making a weekend trip to Pittsburgh. Come on Friday and go home Sunday. But I was wondering how the winter weather has been in Pittsburgh to determine if I should wait until Spring to come.

Not too bad, so far. It has not snowed now in a few days and it is only really cold.

Hopefully not. I think when the New Flyer Excelsior was here PAT might have been testing it. I hope they get some New Flyer's over more Gilligs.

I got some delicious DD60 footage today with 3106 on the EBA, a Gillig Phantom and yet another ISM powered Advantage. Plus had a lightrail ride but unfortunately I did not record it. Videos to be uploaded soon.

Video of Pittsburgh's new smart card fareboxes which will soon get installed on buses and the T.

Socks work in the current fareboxes. :P

Quote:

When Port Authority needed some phony $1 bills to test the reliability of its new fareboxes, it had a ready supply -- furnished by riders.

The current fareboxes not only can't distinguish between genuine and counterfeit money; they pretty much take anything that is shoved into them.

"You could stuff a sock in them and it would go through," authority spokesman Jim Ritchie said.

Lol, they seem so happy that the machine will reject bogus bills. I did find with the old machines, it was a tad odd to place the ticket into the box.
