When the NABIs are gone... it will suck here... nothing 40 foot will be here except for those New Flyers... and some of the New Flyers (mainly the ones with DD50, and a few 5600s) shake violently when they aren't moving... it's annoying sometimes... and the one of the hybrids almost made me go on my self today because i reeeeally had to go, and this thing wants to accelerate slow, and top out at 15MPH... on ROOSEVELT!!!!

Why is everyone complaining about the New Flyer's. I miss them a lot here in Gillig city! Would love to trade some 5600 ISM powered Gilligs for some 5600 overhauls.

Also Septakid, diesel transit buses everywhere idle hard. Here in Pittsburgh many buses idle hard, I remember being on a Neo An460 thinking I should be recording the shaking the DD Series 60 engine was doing to the back of the bus!

i didn't mean idle... i meant stand still... like at a red light... the NABIs don't do that as much as the New Flyers do...

BTW, i'm probably the only one here that doesn't like some of the New Flyers... the only good fleet are the Unoverhauled 5700s, and the 8000s.... the others are bad... they (5600s, 8100s-8300s and 54-5500s) sound okay, but riding them is like... no... well, for me since sometimes, i would sleep on the bus... you try waking up at 4AM and not being able to sleep until 11AM... my lack of sleep is like... no... i need to sleep on the bus

Standing still at a red light the bus is idling, unless the engine is off.

Deal! Do you think they'd notice? ;)

I meant the MFL.

I don't think the 5002-5058 had that many miles on them to begin with. I am surprised that the 5100s from Frontier are still running. Have any of the 5100s from Frontier topped 1 million miles?

the 5100s @ Frontier were for use exclusively on the Oxford Valley routes, then spread out districtwide when they got the cutaway vans, then thrown into the "Norristown Mix", & now Comly.
? Exclusive use on the Bucks County routes? Interesting.

I don't think Frontier's buses have as many mileage as other city routes, simply because they don't see that much service. Routes like the 14 are comparable in mileage, but they have a lot more service and demand a lot more out of the buses.

I'm honestly sad to see them go, as they were my favorite batch of NABIs. I'm guessing they'll spend their final days running out of Comly division.

Please say hi for me if you see 5145...

Oh, btw, 5153 was running on the 96 today.

Just rode 5398 on 12 (don't see many NABI's on 12, by the way). I think someone did drop it from a crane or whatever - the suspension was terrible. Every slight bump on Locust St was a bone-rattler.
