As we know recent Frontier sent their beloved 51XX fleet to Comly. As of Summer of 2009 Septafan and the two Southern Blockers I know named Ron and Ray told I and Septafan that Southern won't be receiving any new Hybrids till most likely the 2011 batch. Why the 2011 batch? Well Since the Fall Schedule has taken effect, Southern is going to receive up to 31 NABIs (Hand-Me-Downs from other depots). This is in order to mile up the NABIs and have the NABIs retired by the time the Hybrid order is complete. This process is already in effect as Southern has received already 5275 from Frankford, 5280 I think from Frankford, 5164 (was @ Southern since this summer but was never added to the Southern Roster, which means Southern does NOT have 5163), anyway they have received 5179 from Callowhill. Septafan has spotted 5179 in service already, it was on Rt. 29 Yesterday. 5362 & 5365 were Midvale Hand-Me-Downs. 5362 was spotted on the 47 by me Monday, and Septafan spotted 5362 on the G yesterday. Then Yesterday 5365 was on the 17. There is a story to this: As I got off @ 17th & JFK, a NABI was in front of the Rt. 38 bus I was on. By the time I got off the bus the NABI sped off down JFK. As i looking to see how far the NABI went down JFK it made a Left onto 19th street which assumes it was on the 17. So as of now Southern has received 5 out of 31 NABI Hand-Me-Downs.
Here is the List as of 9/17/09: 5179, 5275, 5280, 5362, 5365

5275 was at either at Victory or Callowhill when they pulled it from service, since it was on the 416 line the day it was reassigned to southern...

5275 was from Frankford. It's been there for a while! Now it's at Southern!

In otherwords it did not come from Victory, it was from Frankford!! It was the oddball unit in terms of numbering-series at Frankford.

I seem to recall 5275 was part of the same numbering series of NABIs that was assigned to Frankford after it was sent over from Allegheny when the snakes arrived in 2000-01.

5275 came to Midvale in 2000 when the 32 & 61 came over, along with 5258-5266, 5268-5278. This group went to Midvale, then Callowhill. 5275 was assigned to Victory before it came to Frankford.

Now that I see the 2005 roster, you're correct. Frankford's batch of ex-Allegheny bricks was 5279-5292.

yea, sorry about that, i asked my friend about the mysterious route 416... it's operated out of Southern Depot... and after it's run, the driver then goes to serve the 17 (a long deadhead from somewhere on Passyunk near Lindebrgh to Front and Market), but it was only for that week, so it could be different now... (but that means that i was an idiotic idiot for thinking that 5275 was at Victory a week ago)

Also, 5366 was moved to southern also, and I'm sure that the rest of Midvales 5300's will be moved down there...
