Reason for Hot Coach lights.; Trackless trolleys (ETB)

SEPTA has been trying to figure out why this big occurrence of HOT COACH lights.
It has been traced to improper re-poling and de-poling.

The proper procedure in their manual.
ALWAYS connect the negative(usually curbside) pole first and then connect the positive pole.
ALWAYS disconnect the negative(curbside) pole last.


You can say LL, lower left, and RR , raise right. That makes it easy to remember.

It's pretty straight forward. This will insure that you don't short anything out.
