I just what to ask how come they getting a DD50 engine replace with their 6v92 engine in mid-90s, I been rode this bus since September 2004 with an NABI DD50 series engine, Does SEPTA replace the old paint scheme to add a new scheme or they keep it unit they replace the new scheme.

3414 was chosen to test the DD50 engines for the upcoming delivery of NABI's The AN440's at that time were not going to get their engines replaced.

As mentioned on the oddball page, 3414 was used as the pilot for the DD50 engine for future orders. When this retrofit was completed, it underwent stress testing at Altoona to see how this bus performs. Yes it retained it's original red-blue ribbon/ gray trim SEPTA scheme; that did not get replaced until sometime 1997 or 1998, IIRC. It operated out of Allegheny at the time, IIRC.

The bus it self did not received a overhaul until 2000 or 2001.

3414 was still at Southern as late as 2002 I still remember driving it. It was my favorite neo then 3250 one of that last not to have a WCL lift and was fast as balls !

Yes. 3250 was a rocket. I think operators assigned to Victory fought to get 3250 every chance possible.
