The bus neoartic7101 is referring to is a 40ft RTS bus 8003 that got the new red to blue gradient stripe that was applied over the windows and got silver chrome wheels. The vintage bus is a 35ft model with the old red and blue puzzle scheme that was applied under the windows, it has white wheels and is numbered 4462. SEPTA does not own any 40ft RTS buses to date. |

Wow I missed that post. This is the first I ever heard of this RTS. Hopefully it was photographed...I can't imagine an RTS in that scheme. When did this bus get the retrofit, and did it see much service afterwards? |

Honestly I can't see any space where the stripe could be added on the roof lining of an RTS. But the space is closely identical to the Eldo's. I don't know how the Gillig Phantom would work with the stripe if we got those over the NABI's. Edited by TRANSIT_FREAK, Sep 18 2010, 07:53 PM.

This was a rumor that I have heard that it was overhauled into that scheme before retirement and I want to see the picture myself. |

So is this a myth, or is there proof that this is real? |
