I'd also like to mention that all of the Eldorados, with the exception to the ones assigned at Midvale are over the 350K mile limit. Once over that limit, they are now Eligible for retirement.

So retiring all the eldos will put a SEVERE bus shortage for Frontier and a shortage for Midvale also Germantown

4581 was at Germantown. I remember they had it at the Roadeo this year and it went to Germantown with the historic fleet at the end.

Intriguing. I was under the impression that Frontier sent 4581 to the roadeo, much like how the other depots sent one of the other modern buses to be put on display at the event. I didn't realize that it went to Germantown depot. Too bad, it was kinda cool, particularly with its mysterious origin.

I really feel a bit disturbed that SEPTA is getting rid of all of their 30 foot buses though. They DO have a place here...I mean, didn't we come to a conclusion that "one size does NOT fit all" quite a while ago, which lead SEPTA to purchase more artics and 30 foot buses after a period of time with nothing but 40 footers at most depots?

It is about time. Comly may end up giving 5890,5891, 5893-5904 back to Frontier to cover a shortage caused by the retirement of the Eldorados. I know that Comly's NABIs were among some of the oldest systemwide, but I really think Comly retired their 5100s too early. As far as I am concerned, that went double for Callowhill's 5000 group.

Callowhill should have kept their 5000s and ran them exclusively on the following routes:

31(only because of it's stop and go nature), 40,46 AND 52, as well as the 15 when needed.

NO NABIS on the Central Philadelphia routes(21, 38, 42, 43, 44 and 44 Gladwyne)

Then again, I'm not sure. I rode on Comly's 5100s in years past and some of them had some "issues," and I will leave it at that.
