Seems like Port Authority is finally taking delivery of new articulated buses. I believe these will be replacing the 3000-series Neoplan suburban artics...

If only PAT wouldn't be so addicted to Voith instead of Allison or ZF, then I'd be impressed. I despise buses with Voith transmissions; maybe because of being spoiled with the ZFs on SEPTA and NJT buses.

These buses are similar to OC Transpo's 2010 D60LFR as they have 2010 EPA standard too. But it all depends on the transmission it has in there.

These New Flyers are actually not replacing anything. They are intended for the new "Rapid" series routes, I believe, supplementing the current articulated fleet. They really could use more of these longer buses, especially since the recent cuts have lead to overcrowded buses during rush hour.

They are equipped with the Allison B500 like the Neoplan Artics. It would've been interesting if they had Voiths, as I always liked that transmission.

I think there's supposed to be another order of artics in the future that will replace the 3000 series Neoplan.

Because that is the same powertrain as PAT's new artics.

Yup, the 2012 D60LFR's will replace the DD50 AN460's.
