I believe route R should be route 85. Route K should be route 82. Route L should be route 81 going to Plymouth Meeting Mall and route 69 should commence as a new bus route for SEPTA beginning at Broad and Olney to Erdenheim which will probably have low ridership and be a good candidate for one of the future 30 foot buses SEPTA will receive later. This new bus route will take a little pressure off of OTC's high traffic of pedestrians during after school and rush hour periods. Route 41 should be the H and route 45 should be the XH. (I think one of these should terminate at 33rd and Venango or that new food shopping center thats been talked about). Route G should be route 51. Route J should be route 74.
Any reason or point to why?

Someone also told me the 4 used Davy Crocketts early on but I don't think that was true as I don't recall any Crocketts were ever based at Southern.

After the subway extension a strange branch of 17 served the Food Center as an additional service during owl periods (in addition to the normal G service), coming east from Broad & Pattison via Pattison and then the usual Food Center loop starting at 7th St. The first version of this went to the Navy Yard on the return trip (via 11th, Terminal and Broad) before going back to the subway at Pattison. Not sure how long that lasted.

When G was extended about 2/3 of the service went to Delaware/Oregon and 1/3 to the Food Center.
There may have been a few Crocketts based at Southern for use on the old 90 bus [they used the Twin Coaches at first, then maybe the Crocketts, then the 1200's - Fishbowls, then Flxibles, and finally the 1300's AN435] before the 12 ate up the route in the last decade.

That branch of the 17 you mentioned lasted until the Feds closed the Navy Yard and SEPTA gutted the Navy Yard schedule to its present form.

The G extension started out as you described, but over time, ALL of the G trips were routed to the Food Center. Then when the 7 was diverted to Pier 70, half of the G trips went back to Delaware/Oregon. Now the G has a 2 & 1 split between the Food Center [2 per hour average], and Columbus Commons [1 per hour average, check schedule].

The only number for the Route G is Route 49. Here is the logic. 49 is half way between 46 and 52. The Route G is half way between Routes 46 and 52. Also the history of the Route 49 number is based in West Philadelphia. The current West Philadelphia portion of Route 64 was once the Route 49 until 1983. The former Route 121 was once known as the Route 49 after its day as the Route 44G. Route R should be Route 41 which is the inverse of Route 14. The rest is up for grabs.

I recall Crocketts on the 90 but I thought it was moved to Callowhill after the Twins were retired and then brought back to Southern when the 1200's showed up. ?

The 17 Navy Yard lasted even after the Yard closure but then more recently split into the 71 weekdays and 17 weekends. The 17 Food Center did not hang around very long as I recall, maybe disappearing in the late 70's.
