When and why did this route split?
Edit:I know the 96 ran from Norristown to Telford before.
Off Topic: I have never seen route 134, does anyone have pictures of it before it discontinues?

When and why did the route split? I think the split happened October of 2005, along with the creation of the 90 and 134 routes. I don't know why the route split, but it likely was to increase the reliability of the service north and south of Montgomery Mall as well as to serve new markets.

The 132 provided significantly expanded service well into the evenings (the 96 only ran to Telford until about 6 or 7 in the evening) as well as brand new Sunday Service. SEPTA aso was able to use the 132 to provided well-needed (?) service on Broad Street in Lansdale and Horsham Road in Montgomeryville, which previously had no SEPTA service whatsoever.
