It has to do with the purchase of new buses. We are guessing who gets the order.
I was told New Flyer couldn't even bid as they are so backlogged with orders from everybody else. Might be a good time to buy some New Flyer stock.

Then why do people say it's "official" when it isn't? ^o)

Jumping to conclusions, I guess.
It can very well be Nova but not until the Board says so.

Watch... March 15 comes nothing happens... it just like 5/21/11 when the world was suppose to end. Honestly all this is just... BS!!! Why can't we just patiently wait until SEPTA OFFICIALLY announces it. I'm tired all this inside source or I heard this from... Ok good, but no need to start another topic like this out when there were previous topics just like this before. The end result was they were deleted because IT ISN't OFFICIAL

People apparently know that Novabus was the officially the low bidder and "won" the bid. The approval of the contract will happen at the next board meeting. However, it isn't official until the SEPTA board approves the contract. If the board for some reason rejects Novabus's bid (which is likely unlikely) some people are gonna have egg on their face.

So, since we at PTV like officially official information, we'll wait for the contract to be officially approved by the board before we post this news. Plus we'll have more details on the hybrid make-up of the order.

I think Chuck's March 15th date is the day of the board meeting, but I'm not sure.

Yeah it could happen on that date on the board meeting.

At the same time, there's was a mention in the recent capital budget report FY 2013 stating that the order for new buses is scheduled to be awarded in March 2012 with notice to proceeds schedule to be go in effect on May, 2012. Stay tune everyone.

I guess we can say which manufacturer will win SEPTA's contract.
