Hopefully all the depots that have artics now will get the new ones including Callowhill so they can use artics on da 21, 42 and 52.

NovaBus is part of Volvo. SEPTA has lasted ordered its Volvo Product back in 1984 for Volvo B10M Articulated. It is hard to imagine that it has been 27 years since then until recently when SEPTA returned back there.

See I told yall.....SEPTA is up to something with diversifying its fleet out here. I think its awesome. Now its gonna be Pennsylvania and New York using Novabuses. In addition, I think those Novabus should receive the old livery i think it would look hot. Oh yeah, don't be surprised if you hear about Neoplan coming back into business in the near future.

At least SEPTA didn't order from Designline.

It will be interesting to see how SEPTA specs the Novas. Maybe they'll finally order a fleet with windows that can be opened. Ironically, the last known SEPTA bus with opening windows (at least as I can tell) was a Volvo product. Either way, I'm probably going to draw the SEPTA LFS GIFs to NYCT specs. I can redraw if I have to.

8590 was built to another agency's specifications, though. Technically the last SEPTA buses with openable windows were the Ford Cutaways...but whether or not one would call them buses is debatable lol.

I fully expect these Novabuses to have windows that don't open.

I am SO GLAD the New Flyer era is finally over!!! Diversity may finally return to the SEPTA system! I wonder what will replace 5401-5500 in the future.
New Flyer era isn't over...SEPTA has over 1000 of them in operation! Who knows what the future will bring as this is just one order. I'm just glad that another manufacturer is able to provide a SEPTA bus for SEPTA, especially one that has a different model like NFI. :)

I wonder when 5401-5500 will be replaced...

And I fully expect the 30th 40 ft. bus in the NovaBus order to ALSO be numbered 8590, same as our Lone Volvo of yesteryear...or, wonder if SEPTA will just skip ahead to start the order with number 8600 or 8601? I still remember Neoplan 8601 as one of the fastest fbuses in the fleet, from when it was assigned to Frontier during RailWorks in 1992-93.
