Looks like SEPTA is getting the new , updated interior style on their Novabuses. Check out the short film describing the changes.
I like the interior!
Today is Thursday, March 22, 2102. Have we heard if SEPTA locked in on the NOVA order?
Or is still up in the air?
To tell you the truth, I dont think that SEPTA has any choice because there aren't any other reputable transit manufacturers out there that have proven themselves besides Neoplan, New Flyer, GMC, and NovaBus. You really think SEPTA is going to take any risks again with other companies just like they did in 1995 when they ordered the NABIs? Not in this economy they won't especially with the low funding they have now.
Thanks,I'd still like to see something about NOVA definitely getting the order.

I think we better leave Designline out of the equation even though they look like newer RTS buses with the slide glide doors but with a low floor designation. I think the technology they have is a little too advanced for what SEPTA can handle now. I mean, who knows?

Hey, if we do get the NOVAs, SEPTA should opt to get the bright white alcoas instead of the shiny silver ones. How many would like this on the new buses?

Wow, love the green. They should keep the interior green for the hybrids with green carpet on the rear and for the diesels use a blue interior with the old-school Neoplan suburban blue carpet in the rear (or red if too much blue but the blue looks better than red, IMO) with LED interior lights. That would be dope.

Oh and check out this link:

possibly in SEPTA colors later this year.....?

The interior still looks roomy and more transit-like, unlike the Gen I and Gen II LFS buses. I actually like the updated design. I knew Volvo had a lot to do with re-designing of this bus, to me it looks like an updated version of a low-floor B10-M (in the rear, of course.)

They should stick with strictly Nova and NFI.

And by now, most of us know, but I'll say it here. Nova got the nod!

I was just making a suggestion if we could possibly go back to the red and blue seating pattern that we had on the old Neoplans. It would look nice on the inside. NOVAs are going to be the next best era since Neoplan busted Philadelphia wide open in 1982. I guarantee it. \

The red and blue was cool. We don't know what SEPTA ordered with the NOVA.

Hey all! Congrats on the new upcoming NovaBus fleet. We have both attics and 40footers here in NYC. I personally ride attics everyday here. The photo posted earlier is one of the first orders we got. The photo I'm posting is from yesterday and is one of our incoming orders. They're great and our fleet also has a partition to protect our drivers.

They'll likely have one at the roadeo later this year.
I know this is late but Septa would not do it. They finally got the balls to display the 2010 hybrids a whole year later then when they came out. Septa is very cautious with there new buses. Septa WILL NEVER EVER EVER Use a Brand spanking new almost a month old bus at the rodeo. Also They wouldn't even be here on time. But this is what I think. :D
