WELCOME to the PIWYR ZETAboard test forum.

This is where we are trying a lot of different things out before the main site is moved to this newer BETA format.
A lot of things are different so it would be best if you would take the time and register to try them out before the site is moved.

The ''Skin'' look you are on is just one of many possibilities in how the forum can look just for you. Try them out by signing up then go to the ''PREFERANCES'' in the top menu and select THEMES. Each one is different, Shout Boxes - Banners - colors - widths- etc...

Check out the topics on the ''HELP TOPIC sub-board under ZETA BOARD INFO Q&A for the latest site info.

We hope you enjoy your visit.

The GFL650c is a GoFastLoudly bolt-on muffler designed for the Hyosung GV650. While the GV650 is a cruiser style motorcycle, with chrome heat shields covering most of the exhaust work, we made our muffler chrome in order to match the style.

The GFL650c is a chrome 2-part muffler design. The first part is the exclusive GFL dogbone baffle with patent pending design. The baffle is bolted in place of the stock muffler, then the chrome exterior pipe is bolted to the dogbone. It creates a seamless appearance and an unmistakable sound that only a high powered v-twin can make.

While we were unable to perform a dyno test on the GFL650c because of dyno failure, the muffler is being road tested and shows no signs of being flawed. Until the dyno tests can verify the necessity of a re-jet, we would suggest it as we notice some occasional deceleration throttle on the road tests.

For comparison, the stock Hyosung muffler measures 23" long and 5" round. It weighs approximately 18 lbs. The GFL650c measures only 14" long and 3 1/2" round. It weighs only 4 lbs.

The Dyno Tests
  • We took our test GV650 to the dyno shop an hour west of our shop and rolled the bike onto the dyno. We had the stock air, muffler, and jets on it so we could do our base-line run. In the process of the run, the dyno failed and we were unable to complete our testing.

Rather than wait for the dyno to be fixed, we decided to road-test this muffler instead. So far, with nearly 50 miles on it, everything seems to be working properly. We are planning a 200 mile trip to Daytona Beach Bike Week next weekend to properly test the muffler.
UPDATE:[/big]

  • The road trip from our hotel in Ocala, Florida to Daytona Beach was a little more than 70 miles. The new muffler handled it perfectly. It was mid 70 degree weather that Saturday, then was below freezing that night. The muffler never hesitated, never spat, sputtered, or choked. We did discover that among all of the open pipe exhausts and other mufflers, ours had a unique tone.

It was identifiable in a crowd. Like a Ferrari engine circled by American V8 motors.

Still waiting on the dyno, but so far - everything on the road test is working out well.
