"We told you so." It was early into the Thursday Morning. Meltdown had ended. The Main Event was over. It had begun. Generation Next won their debut match. It was about the teamwork, though. They worked together as a well-oiled machine. They watched each other's backs instead of looked for glory. There they sat in a circle, all smiles. They remembered Alex and Roderick starting it off, dropping the American Dragon. They remembered "Skipping A Generation" on Chris Vaude to send him out. They remembered Jack Evans going higher than Rob Van Dam ever could. And they remembered Austin Aries sacrificing himself to give their opponents false hope. Shelley leaned back and looked up at the camera they requested and put his hands together, finishing what he started. "Meltdown learned a valuable lesson late into the night. When the smoke cleared, Generation Next was left standing. I'll say it one more time: 'We Told You So.' You sent a man making his glorious debut to fight us. You put TWO of NGPW's Champions to put us down. And there was Chris Vaude. It wasn't enough. Nothing will ever be enough. We not only beat them, but we dissected them. Frost, Vaude, Van Dam, and Danielson were all examples to what we are doing. It's all pre-meditated. Every attack, every word, every step. I've thought things out. I've got a bulls-eye on so many names that you wouldn't believe me. And you think we're going to sit here and be restricted to just being here on Wednesdays? Not a chance. Not a chance in the World. Let me give you the warning one more time: Step down, or get put down. We are not here to play games. Two Champions have been defeated already and we're just getting warmed up." Shelley held up his hand and waved "goodbye" to the camera, but it would be a fired-up Austin Aries to not-so-kindly escort the people out. All that could be heard is Jack Evans running off at the mouth still, and talking about what would happen next week. Something Will happen next week. |
