With GLORY done and the coming weekend being Scars and Stripes 3, the sides were beginning to settle for the Twenty Man War Games Match. All but three names were given for the fight. The rules favored BAW but the roster for Team NGPW read like a "Who's Who" of Thad Inc. in the New Millennium. One of them was the Purist. Having lost something he coveted more than any possession in existance, John seemed to have gone off the deep end. From attacking a number of camera crews to descimating fun-loving performers proved where his mind was at, and it was a very dangerous place. Now, however, he sat calm in a simple folding chair. Rubbing his hands together, something that used to be apart of his persona as the "calm before the storm" in his entrance, Kaos just stared at the ground in front of him that was not in the viewing field. " There are two things that people tend to get confused a lot that has become a pet-peeve of mine. It's the difference between 'MYTH' and 'LEGEND.' Now let me seperate the two with a simple story. " There is a myth of Ragnarok, a story of the Norse belief. It represents the final battle where, as the dust settles, no one will be left. The dead, the fallen warriors of past fights, will rise for this final conflict and give themselves again. It is the great Gods fighting their aggressors. Odin versus Fenrir. Thor versus Jörmungandr. Freyr versus Surtr. Tyr versus Garm. Everyone fights, and everyone falls. And when the last body does finally fall, the World ends. It was the most feared event because before it even began everyone knew the outcome: a catastrophic, apocalyptic massacre. " Then there is the legacy of Ragnarok, which is wrestling lore. In the years past of HPWF, there was once a man who ruled not with an iron fist but with a hammer. It was his symbol, it was his weapon, and it was the tool used to put the final nail into the caskets of many careers. When you look at it's head, you can still see the faint stains of blood. When you look at it's wooden shaft, you can see how it has weathered battles and time. No one challenged him when he used Ragnarok, because no one could stand up to it. And while it was believed that the hammer would be passed down to one of his two apprentices. Instead, it was taken from him, and the new bearer of the hammer took with it the fear that the almighty weapon imposed upon it's victims. " Reclining back in his seat, John placed both of his hands back behind his head and turned his sight to the sky. A smile, albeit a sick one, came upon his face as he sat silently for a few more moments. " At Scars and Stripes, this is looked at as the final battle. You have a team comprised of the best that Thad Inc. has seen in the past six years together for the first and quite possibly only time ever. Then you have a group of nobodies. The only person on their team that anyone has even heard of is Babu. They have come here into our promotion, and our backyard, to now take our existence from us. With one win, they feel as though they have earned a spot and that they belong. Because of that, you have banded together the best for one night. Ever think about what else you've done? If it wasn't for BAW, I would have my opportunity to regain my Television Championship. If it wasn't for BAW, Trent Reign and Nathan Moore might be going for the Tag Team Titles. You have men who have their sights set on goals and championships, but you are denying them. Do you now see what you've done? You've stolen from us. You have our attention. You have your battle where everything very well could end and no one be left standing. You have the opportunity to bring about the end of NGPW in one night, in one match. " Now going up to a stand, John picked up the head of the steel chair and placed it aside. The view was still from the waist up as Kaos reached down again, now to the floor, and picked something up. All you could hear is a short scrape upon the hard floor, metal on concrete, before Kaos, no longer looking into the camera and his evil grin getting larger, continued. " While I do not speak for the rest of my team because I could honestly care less, I have not been all there lately. I spend a lot of my time being an entertainer to the fans, either playing the fun-loving good guy or the cocky prick whom you all love to hate. Once in a while, though, I get caught up in my own head and my thoughts. It's pretty scary in there. People think guys like Krow or Craven or Khaos are sick, but the things in here? They make me feel like a borderline sadist. Remember, i've been in some barbaric matches. I've fought my friend -- one of my BEST friends, Simon Dope, in both Deathmatches and Highway Matches and won them. I've fought in the Triple Tier Cage with a man who put Thaddius and Lunar in the hospital, and I did the same to him. Everyone looks at me and thinks i'm a clinic wrestler, what with all of the chain wrestling and submissions. Not now. That sick part of me I keep locked up in my own mind gets to come out. And I ain't coming alone. " The scrapping began again as Kaos swung around the cause of the noise so it would come around and land, the upper portion of the wooden shaft, upon his shoulder. It was the sledgehammer of HPWF, the one described by John just now, named "RAGNAROK." While it had been seen used by the Purist on HPWF Television, it had never been brought to NGPW until now. " 'Speak softly. Carry a big stick.' Meet my stick. And I promise you that while I might not win, I will make for damn sure that at least one member of Team BAW thinks twice before ever trying to step into the ring with me. Blood's gonna flow, people. Blood gonna flow. " With the smile fading and John being in the wrong frame of mind for the upcoming match, he kindly made his leave in a peaceful manner: the first he's done since losing the T. V. Title. But now he had made it clear that all of his inner aggression was set to be unleashed live on Pay-Per-View. |
