NGPW Business Insider Report BREAKING NEWS Alert! Feburary 15th, 2007 ![]() Edinburgh, Scotland, UK - Hilton International has been slapped with a multi-million dollar lawsuit. The people sueing? The family of a former employee of Hilton Broadcasting Communications, one of the many branches of Hilton International. The now deceased employee was accidently killed during a taping of the BBC's "World News" when a 60 lb. 2K light fell on top of the floor manager and broke his neck almost instantly. Unfortunatley, the accident occured live on TV and in the backround you are able to hear the thunderous noise and the shreik of James Harold, the victim. Producers were left with only seconds to cut to a default super disclaiming TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. The family claims Hilton International disregarded safety protocol in light fixture set-up and the result ended up in James' death. Daniel Hilton, CEO & Chairman of Hilton International released a short press statement from his corporate office in Edinburgh, Scotland. "We are saddened to hear about the death of James, a 3 year veteran of our company. We give our condolences to the family and wish only the best. We will nourish any service to provide the family with the needed support." The lawsuit is ranged at $68 million USD. and will call for the investigation of all of the company's television and airwave productions studios. Respectfully, the Scotland Yard is still in the midst of the investigation. Reporting from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK Alice Shepard NGPW Business Insider Report BREAKING NEWS Alert! |
