- When The NWA Ruled The World...
"WrestleMania was a colossal failure, and crippled the World Wrestling Federation in such a way that it was termed 'Black Sunday' within the promotion, and led to the eventual bankruptcy of Vincent Kennedy McMahon Jr. within months, paving the way for the National Wrestling Alliance's domination."

- Gregory Thatus The Fall of The World Wrestling Federation

March, 31st, 1985. WrestleMania. 'The Biggest Spectacle in Pro Wrestling'. It was to be the birth of Vince McMahon Jr.'s vision, the birth of 'Sports Entertainment', on a grand scale. Celebrities, superstars, Madison Square Garden. It had it all.

Except, no one cared. Sports Entertainment didn't sell. The fans wanted wrestling, and turned away from this Roman-esque display of vanity in droves, and sent the World Wrestling Federation into a tail spin that would see them declare bankruptcy by the end of the year. 'Sports Entertainment' had failed, on the grandest stage of them all, at the moment of its coronation, because of the simple greed and vanity of McMahon Jr.

While the WWF died, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Class Championship Wrestling, the Mid-Atlantic teritory, Championship Wrestling from Florida, the Mid South region, they flourished. Promoting wrestling first, with names like Magnum TA, Ric Flair, The Andersons, they succeeded where McMahon Jr. had failed, and built an empire that lasts to this day.

The National Wrestling Alliance is the premier pro wrestling entity in the world today, stretching from Japan to Europe, and everywhere in between. This holds especially true in the United States and Canada, where if you aren't NWA, then you aren't anything. From Hawaii to the Northeast, Canada to Mexico, the NWA is here to stay.

With stars ranging from the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg to the World Tag Team Champion Dudley Boys, the NWA showcases the best talent anywhere.

And just who is the NWA? This... is the National Wrestling Alliance;

NWA: Texas

One of the biggest promotions in the NWA, Texas was born out of the success of the Von Erich dynasty, and World Class Championship Wrestling. When 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes took over the promotion in mid 1990, he reformed it, and with the buyout of Jim Crockett Promotions in the early Nineties, molded it into the NWA: Texas we know today. The company has run upon hard times recently, due to many fans turning off of their 'old school' ideals, and towards the more cutting edge promotions around the nation.

NWA: East Coast

It took them nearly six years, but the McMahons finally rose back to prominence with the formation of NWA: East Coast in 1992. Vince McMahon Sr. was the man behind the music for the promotions first seven years, finally turning the reigns over to his son in 1999. Vince Jr. went on to once again try to realize his vision of 'Sports Entertainment', whch twenty years after WrestleMania crippled the WWF has become popular amongst many "North-Easterners, and has successfully lead the company to become one of the most popular promotions in the NWA today.

NWA: Canadian Stampede

Formerly Calgary Stampede now renamed after gaining the right to promote all over Canada in November 1995, Canadian Stampede is the premier promotion in the great white north, and lauded for their empahisis of wrestling above all else. Based on the hard work of the Hart Family, Canadian Stampede is seen to be the shining light of traditional Canadian technical wrestling, as well as one of the deepest and most talented promotions.

NWA: Mexico City

The 'black sheep' of the NWA family, Mexico City certainly has a chip on its shoulder, refusing to recognize the NWA World champions, simply because of a incident involving the man behind lucha libre as we know it today, Konnan. While Mexico City was a major player in the NWA title scene in the mid 90s, a deal between Konnan and the NWA Board fell through, and the fiercely loyal members of the roster sided with their beloved owner, making Mexico City the true renegade of the NWA.

NWA: Hardcore City

No longer content to feast on the bones of the other NWA promotions, Paul Heyman took a stand, and declared that hardcore was here to stay with the foundation of the Philidelphia based Hardcore City. A fiercly loyal fanbase, a gritty, underground feel, and a roster comprised of some of the toughest men to ever step into a ring has made Hardcore City a cult favorite amongst many NWA fans.

NWA: Detroit

After an unsuccessful run as the head writer for Jim Crockett Promotions, 'Cowboy' Bill Watts struck out for the Motor City which had lost its way after the death of The Original Sheik, and founded the gritty and hard hitting NWA: Detroit, a true ode to the city's working class culture. With stars ranging in styles from the former Gold Medalist Kurt Angle to the masked monster Abyss, NWA: Detroit offers something for everyone, while still delivering the hard hitting style its fans demand.

NWA: Los Angeles

Originally the brainchild of 'Hot Rod' Rowdy Roddy Piper, NWA: Los Angeles has gotten darker and more violent under the hands off direction of adult entertainment mogul Rob Black. Though the promotion has more of an edge than many others, it still brings much to the table in terms of talent, and is considered underrated by many in the know.

NWA: Strong Style

Heavily influenced by the puroresu style of Japan, majority owner Al Snow and Dan Severn's NWA: Strong Style relies heavily on workrate intensive matches, with hard hitters and great grapplers to entertain their fans. Widely considered to have the most talented roster in the United States, if not the world, Strong Style has a strong fanbase both in the US and abroad.

NWA: Hawaii

'It's a Family Thing' certainly describes NWA: Hawaii, the land of sun and surf is also home to what is termed simply 'The Samoans', an extended family of grapplers who have ran and maintained the fed since its foundation in 1988. With ties to both Canada and Japan, which earned the promotion the nickname of 'Gateway to the East', NWA: Hawaii has brought its fans both family oriented entertainment, as well as some great matches in its past. In a time of turmoil, the fed is searching for a new identity, but still has its history and, as always, family, to fall back on.

NWA: Athletic Arts

Established in 2004, the youngest of the current NWA promotions, Athletic Arts relies on the technical wizardry and aerial mastery of its young and talented roster to wow and amaze fans. Heavily influenced by Mexico City's high flying style and running out of the Carolinas, NWA: AA has some of the best young talent in the world, including names like 'Suga' Shane Helms and Paul London. With barely a year under their belt, hopes are high for the promotion to keep up the standards they have shown to be able to achieve.

Pick your NWA afffiliate and get playing!

The battle for control in power in the company is raging along Heyman and Fairplay. Heyman, who brought Fairplay in as a second GM has felt that Fairplay was doing everything in his power to isolate champions to begin to separate brands on two shows. Heyman said that wasn't going to happen and now both sides are locked in a struggle for power and the NWA LA Heavyweight Title.

Scott Hudson: Hello and welcome all to Bloody Sunday and what a card we have for you tonight. I'm Scott Hudson sitting alongside the Godfather to bring you this mega sized event!

Godfather: There are plenty of answers that need to be filled in tonight. For one who will come out victorious in the title for title match between Homicide and Randy Orton. Who will win the Heavyweight Title match between Booker T and Ron Killings and final.....

SEGMENT ONE: Fairplay addresses Heyman...

Jonny Fairplay's music hits. He's walking out overly confident for someone whose career could be on the line tonight. Slowly, he strides to the ring. All the turmoil caused because of this man.

"You know for all you little shits out there who wanted me to lose my job, I'm sorry to inform you that you will be a little disappointed. See, I had a meeting with the board of officials today and I cannot be removed by any means regardless of the outcome whatsoever."

A humongous amount of boos are echoed throughout the arena followed by This is Bullshit! chants.

"Now I know you guys are sad but cheer up. This is a new day. We are here at Bloody..."

"SUNDAY!"

Paul Heyman appears and the fans become estatic. HEYMAN HEYMAN HEYMAN is echoed throughout the whole entire arena.

"Yes, Jonny you see you're right about one thing. You can't be fired, YET. Jonny it seems you have gotten a second chance. And hey, I'm a man to let bygones be bygones. So, listen I will get out of your hair. You can have X-Termination booking and I can have assault booking but Jonny, if there is even the slightest look unfair play towards your part, management will have your head!"

Heyman quickly frowns upon Jonny and then makes his exit back to the backstage area. Fairplay doesn't say anything as he makes his exit as well.

Godfather: Quite the words from both these men. I hope that we will only benefit from this.

Scott Hudson: We will have to see my friend til then we have a match to call.

SEGMENT TWO SINGLES MATCH: Julio Dinero vs Jay Briscoe in a Tables Match for the NWA LA Nationwide Championship.

That sounds like a feature on a 4 x 4, doesn't it. Jay Briscoe avoids a Julio Dinero avalanche by getting out of the damn way! Dropkick connects to the butt of the jaw and Dinero goes down. Dinero ducks a wild right hand. Hard back suplex on Jay Brisco. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. The Messiah comes running down the aisle with a chair! Dinero whips Jay Briscoe into the ropes. Messiah jumps onto the apron with the chair! Collision between Messiah, Jay Brisco, and the chair! Jay Briscoe falls to the canvas. Jay Briscoe is in trouble. Mark Henry DDTs Mack, but it just looked terrible. Rodney Mack fights out of a grapple. Massive backbreaker on Henry and I get happy flashbacks to Bret Hart's Five Moves of DOOM. Death valley driver (not to be confused with the DVD 500) by Rodney Mack connects and Mark Henry is down! Henry pushes out of a Rodney Mack hold. A weak headbutt on Mack by Henry causes nothing but pain for both. Mark Henry misses a clothesline. Running knee lift from Rodney Mack. Jazz is at ringside, trying to distract the referee! Sonjay goes back to Evans and yanks his foot through the rung to slow his process. Red nails Sonjay with a Super Kick! D-Ray is back in and throws out Red. D-Ray grabs for Evans who is struggling in the ladder. D-Ray punches him in the head rapidly. D-Ray unties Evans from the ladder and tosses him across the ring in a crucifyx style powerbomb. Sonjay is wobbly but getting to his feet. D-Ray points up to Sonjay who is then yanked down by Red. D-Ray sees this and goes to the outside and hits red with a hard right hand. Red returns the favor with chops and kicks to the midsection. D-Ray turns it around and throws Red into the steel ring post. Sonjay begin to reset the ladder but Evans throws him out the ring almost hitting D-Ray. As D-Ray tries to help Sonjay to his feet Evans dives and hits a 450 Splash to the outside. Orton walks into a side slam. Think about how much talent it takes to side slam someone. Nash can do it. Orton reverses a Homicide hammerlock. Homicide takes a back suplex. Stun Gun from Randy Orton! I still can't believe that was Austin's finisher at one point. Orton drives a thrust kick into the chest of Homicide. Homicide fights out of a grapple. Nice piledriver on Orton. TIGER DRIVER~! '91 nearly crushes the spine of Orton! Running knee lift from Homicide. Randy Orton comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Homicide tastes a high angle back suplex. If Spike Lee can sue TNN over the Spike TV nonsense, then Kurt Angle should be able to sue SOMEONE for that. Randy Orton plants Homicide with an EXPLODAH~! suplex. Orton picks up a chair. Homicide turns around...and gets smashed over the head with it! The referee sees blood, and this match is over! Randy Orton gives a murderous look toward Homicide...and attacks! Death valley driver (not to be confused with the DVD 500) by Booker T connects and Ron Killings is down! Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! BAAACK Body drop by Killings gets a bit of a pop from the crowd. Booker T scoop slams Killings onto and through a table. Ron Killings powers out of a Booker T headlock. Flying elbow from Ron Killings connects. Back heel kick off the second rope, Booker goes down. Booker T can barely stand. Lie Detector!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! The night ends with Heyman shaking his head at Fairplay from the ramp with Fairplay laughing alongside of Ron Killings.

-Saturday March 5th 2005 BREAKING ALERT

Urban Assault hit an all time low in the ratings due to NWA: EC debuting a new television show the same day and time slot.

Signed Joel Maximo to open contract.

March of Destruction Sunday March 20th 2005 From The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Paul Heyman vs Jonny Fairplay
In booking matches has been the main story to this event. Both men have been booking their favorites in title matches and each has tried to guarantee their guy would be champion. So far Jonny Fairplay has the advantage with the champion Ron Killings on his side. However, a triple threat match may determine a new world champion.

Randy Orton vs Homicide
The titles have been lost. Homicide won back the unified West Coast-California State titles, now known simply as the West Coast Title. After, Homicide lost the title in a fatal four way where he did not get pinned. The rivalry, however, seems to be going strong even more than ever with the titles out of the way.

NWA LA Heavyweight Title Picture
Ron Killings is the current champion representing Fairplay's army. On his tail are Jeff Hardy and Booker T representing Heyman's men, the wildcard Vampiro, and his fellow stablemate Kaos. At March of Destruction 2 of the 3 men will be taking on Ron Killings for the title but who?
