i see you chose the clothesline from hell 1 as your fin. i dont have my game on but if thats the running clothesline with the pin and not the ground grapple one, you might wanna rethink your choice. i have had the running clothesline, marked as a favorite, for a caw's finisher in my game since 2010 has been out, as well as having had it on my first rcwf caw for about 4 months and NEVER EVER even came close to actually landing it...i know its a badass looking move, but i have tried every possible combination with it as a finisher, including the ground grapple "get up" taunt type moves, as well as the back roll/baseball slide running dodges that set you up perfect for a running grapple or strike, and the AI never even attempts it, much less actually lands it. when the AI does actually throw the clothesline (i have seen it maybe 15-20 times in over i would say 150 matches if not more) his arm just passes through the opponent and he passes them up. i tried making a bigger heavyweight caw, a smaller lightweight, and everything in between, but the move will not land. i have had the same problem with one of the running shining wizards landing, but the AI actually spams that move, only to miss half a dozen times before they lose their fin...go figure. i have kept the move as my caws fin in the hopes that one day he would actually land it and i could clip it for a highlight reel, but after watching literally hundreds of match highlights (i sim while i am working on the computer since they are right next to each other) he has never landed it. =( if you didnt pick the running strike then just disregard this post. i would suggest you play with the create a finisher tool and whip up something you like. obviously your caw is a heavyweight bruiser type and there are plenty of sweet slams you can create. all finishers do uniform damage, some just look better than others. remember though...if you make your finisher too long and you are in a tag team match, it gives the other teams apron guy enough time to recover (after your partner comes and knocks him off) and jump back in to break your pin. so keep it short(ish) and sweet...if you are a singles wrestler then you dont have anything to worry about...if you are noob and you need some finisher ideas im sure some rcwf'ers have them. i might have a couple i will lend you if you let me name it. |

Thanks for the advice, but this is the clothesline from hell without the pin. The only reason it is on this character for now is that seems to be the computer's choice for my finisher in the Dungeon. :-) My ACTUAL finisher is sitting in my second signature slot. The Sharpshooter. If the Clothesline is not going off in the game, then I will switch things around. This is only the initial CAW and I expect the twist of fate (Eli's 'Hangman's Noose') will be going off far more anyways as front groggy is so easy to achieve in the game. I honestly don't expect to move to the Demolition or Painkiller brands until the time of Smackdown vs Raw 2011 in October. By then, there may be other moves or changes that need to be done in order to get into the 'draft' that will probably happen at that time. Hell, I may be drafted back into Dungeon at that time, who knows? I would hope not, but you never know. |
