This diary will begin at the Raw after Survivor Series 1995 and go through Wrestlemania 12 in 1996. During the time from where I began the game (May 1995) through Survivor Series, where I begin the diary, a lot has taken place in the WWF world, and in the wrestling world as a whole. With WCW swiping up every “veteran” they see on the market to build up their star power immediately and try to overtake the WWF overnight, the WWF retaliated by deciding to let WCW go after their temporary success, and will build for the future, racking up many young stars on the independent scene across the world, such as former ECW wrestlers Eddy Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Lance Storm, and Chris Benoit, as well as signing other future talent like Paul Levesque (renamed Hunter Hearst Helmsley), Stunning Steve Austin (renamed Stone Cold Steve Austin) and Dwyane Johnson (renamed Rocky Maivia), Mick Foley (renamed Mankind) among others, as well as signing more established tag teams to help bolster the division like The Road Warriors, Demolition, The Steiner Brothers and others. The WWF also decided to sign international stars, like The Great Muta, Jushin Liger, and Ultimo Dragon, to help build the international appeal of the product, as well as introducing a Light Heavyweight Championship to showcase the division and give off some incredible in-ring talent. After Summerslam 1995, where Diesel (who briefly dropped the title to Ted Dibiase in June, but regained it) retained his title against The Undertaker in a very cheap manner, causing him to turn heel in the process, the WWF decided to “trim the fat” and release wrestlers who were not being used or did not fit the new direction of the company, letting numerous midcard guys go like Koko B. Ware, The Heavenly Bodies, The Blu Brothers, Men on a Mission, and even letting go of top stars Lex Lugar and Yokozuna, following Survivor Series. Even though the WWF is #1, WCW is quickly closing the gap. Will their gamble pay off, and can they put on a Wrestlemania for the ages, after seemingly blowing it the previous year? I’m rewriting the buildup to Wrestlemania 12 as I thought so much more could have been done for it. Even though the Michaels/Hart Ironman match was one for the ages, the rest of the card was forgettable at best. So sit back, and enjoy the coming posts of “The Road To Wrestlemania XII”! The Prodigy Of The Valley

![]() Raw opens with a recap video from last night's Survivor Series in Landover, MD. It starts out with Razor Ramon hitting the Razor's Edge on Diesel and pinning him to retain his WWF Championship. Then it recaps the 4-on-4 Survivor Series matchup, and recaps the ending with Owen Hart distracting the referee enough for Shawn Michaels to superkick Bret Hart illegally, then tags himself in to Owen, superkicks him and pins Bret Hart for the victory. Monday Night Raw Theme As the sirens ring throughout the arena, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us to another edition of Monday Night Raw! Live from Richmond,VA and the sirens are quickly replaced by the bagpipes of the Commissioner of the WWF, Rowdy Roddy Piper! Rowdy Roddy Piper Theme Piper makes his way down to the ring to a chorus of cheers. He enters the ring and grabs a microphone to begin to speak to the crowd. Yes! You see tonight you all will see a new #1 contender for the WWF Championship! Diesel is DONE! HE RAN OUT OF SHOTS! So tonight, the final four men of last night's Survivor Series match, will be in a fatal four way to determine the #1 contender for the next PPV! So that means in this ring, you will see Bret Hart, Owen Hart, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels tonight! And Razor Ramon, you're a great champion, I'll give you that, but don't take your opponents too lightly, because they JUST MIGHT BEAT YOU, INCLUDING ME! Piper begins to leave the ring, but as he is halfway up the ramp, the arena goes black and a single red spotlight shines on the ramp and the music fills the arena... The Great Muta Theme The crowd boos as Muta walks out from behind the giant RAW letters and walks into the spotlight, shooting green mist from his mouth into the air, then walks down the ramp with the red spotlight following. Midway down the aisle, he pauses and stares down Piper, but Piper laughs him off and walks back up the ramp. Muta continues to the ring... Howard Finkel: The following contest is set for one fall! Making his way down the aisle, from The Land of the Rising Sun, Japan! Weighing 243 pounds... The Great Muta! 1-2-3 Kid Theme And his opponent, from Minneapolis, Minnesota! Weighing in at 210 pounds... The 1-2-3 Kid! The kid walks down the ramp highfiving the fans and slides into the ring for his tough test against The Great Muta. Match 1: The Great Muta vs 1-2-3 Kid The Great Muta pins 1-2-3 Kid via a Shining Wizard We cut to the Tag Team Champions The Road Warriors who cut a backstage promo about beating Demolition and The Steiners numerous times and that there was nobody left to beat. Adam Bomb Theme The following contest is set for one fall! Coming down the aisle, being accompanied by Bob Backlund, from the Three Mile Island, weighing in at 290 pounds.... Adam Bomb! Adam Bomb walks down the aisle with Backlund flanking him. Bomb recently turned heel again after accepting the offer from Backlund to manage him and take him to "heights only he has reached before". He has yet to lose since taking in Backlund. Smoking Gunns Theme And his opponent, from Houston Texas, weighing in at 266 pounds, he is one half of the Smoking Gunns....Billy Gunn! Billy Gunn heads down the aisle high fiving the fans and enters the ring. Match 2: Adam Bomb vs Billy Gunn Adam Bomb pins Billy Gunn with an Atom Smasher Backstage British Bulldog goes into Mr. Perfect's locker room and apologizes for not doing as well as he could have in their Survivor Series match last night, but Perfect forgives him and tells him they need to put the past behind them and look forward to the future. Perfect tells him that he has an idea, and that he will tell the world on Superstars. Lex Lugar goes into Piper's office as he was summoned by him earlier. Piper tells him congratulations on firing Yokozuna last night, but it wasn't a very impressive win. If he wants to keep his job, he needs to do better in the ring. He tells Lugar that he will face an upstart star tonight and that if he loses, he's fired just like that "tub of goo" Yokozuna. Lugar is irate and puts his hands on Piper, who says "Or I can fire you now." and smirks at Lugar. Lugar backs off and heads to the ring. Lex Lugar Theme The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Coming down the aisle, from Chicago, Illinois. Weighing in at 270 pounds... Lex Lugar! Lugar is all business tonight as he heads down the aisle to a mixed reaction. Stone Cold Steve Austin Theme And his opponent, from Victoria, Texas! Weighing in at 252 pounds...Stone Cold Steve Austin! Austin comes down the aisle with his shaved head, and same mean attitude he had previously in ECW. Saying he had a chip on his shoulder was an understatement. Match 3: Lex Lugar vs Stone Cold Steve Austin Austin pins Lugar with a Stone Cold Stunner. After the match, Lugar is irate as Piper comes out from the back to "formally" fire Lugar! While this is happening, Austin celebrates on the outside, only to see a familiar face in the crowd. He stops and looks in the crowd and out emerges Brian Pillman yet again! He did this last night after Austin's win at Survivor Series. Austin blows him off and walks to the back, while Pillman stares him down from the crowd. Backstage is Diesel, who complains about his loss last night. He has a solution to not getting any more title shots...as he dumps the Diesel gimmick and recristens himself as Kevin Nash! Nash says he has some business to attend to and cuts the interview short. We cut to the Intercontinental Champion Rick Rude and Rick Martel both trying their luck to hit on Sunny. Suddenly producers are yelling from the parking lot and the camera runs to the parking lot area. We see a car speeding away and the producers saying things like "They took Paul" and "He stole the urn" and other various things. Suddenly the area goes dark and we hear a gong and thunder. The lights turn back on and The Undertaker is standing in the parking lot, staring down at the tire tracks on the ground. He looks up and the lights go out again, and once they reappear, he is gone. Back to the ring, the fans get word that the main event is a triple threat match now. Owen Hart Theme The following contest is now a triple threat match scheduled for one fall! Coming down the aisle, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Weighing in at 225 pounds... Owen Hart! Hart makes his way down the aisle to a chorus of boos and jeers. Shawn Michaels Theme From San Antonio Texas, weighing in at 231 pounds... The Heart Break Kid... Shawn Michaels! HBK comes out to a mixed reaction and begins to do his stage taunting, but Owen Hart runs down the aisle and attacks him! Hart throws him into the giant red A and drags him back into the ring and goes to work on him....until Bret Hart Theme Bret Hart comes out to a monsterous pop and takes off his jacket. He hands off his sunglasses to the first kid he sees and runs down the aisle and into the ring to begin the match officially. Match 4: Owen Hart vs Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart Owen Hart pins Shawn Michaels with a Superkick after Bret Hart ate a Sweet Chin Music from Michaels. After the match, Owen is celebrating like crazy, as if he actually won the title while the crowd boos the crap out of him. His cheering is cut short when... Razor Ramon Theme The coolest man walking God's Green Earth comes through the crowd to an insane pop and clocks Hart in the head with HIS WWF Championship. The crowd goes crazy as Razor stands over a fallen Owen Hart and holds his title up high and smirks as the show goes off the air. Next Show: Superstars Recap and Monday Night Raw |
