Here's some instructions I just wrote up and a screenshot! Works on unmodded 360 with current dashboard. There's no chance of being banned (gamertag or console) for doing this (there's simply no DRM on the demo). Tested this morning and I'm playing now! You will need: - XBL connectivity (silver or gold) - A small flash drive - Some free space on your 360 HDD (probably like a gig or so) 1.) Get a flash drive, at least 1 gig. 2.) Format as fat32 in Windows by right-clicking the drive in "My Computer" and going to Format (check the box for Quick Format) 3.) Put in 360, go to Storage, set it up as a flash drive for the Xbox (it does some additional formatting here). 4.) Download XTAF at http://digiex.net/downloads/download-cente...af-v44-new.html and open it, inserting your USB drive back into computer. ![]() 5.) Go to "File" and either manually open the USB drive or find the first USB drive. Right click the data partition shown above and make a new folder called "Content". With the Content folder highlighted, right-click a blank area to the right, choose Inject Folder. 6.) Select your RE6 extracted folder, starting with the 000000000000000 folder. 7.) Wait for program to unfreeze so you know that it's done. Your flash drive's activity light should stop blinking, too. 8.) Right click "000000000000000" folder and change to "0000000000000000" (extra zero..basically, just make sure there are 16 zeros). 9.) Go to "File" up top, from the Menu bar and choose Close Current Drive. 10.) Insert in 360, go to Storage and choose your USB drive, copy to your 360 HDD, play! If it doesn't show up in your 360 then you did something wrong. Again, no chance of being banned so there's no reason not to give this a try! Hit me up or reply below if you have issues. ========================================== Alternatively, there's a youtube tutorial by someone else, using a different program and different download links if you prefer a video tut. The demo is broken up into several smaller links here and you'll need all of the parts, unlike my one link. I haven't tested the links in this one, but it should be the same idea (uses a different program instead of XTAF, but again, you have a video tut). I tried to do it myself when i got my xbox back today. It worked like a charm. For anyone that wants to play the demo now (albeit with bugs and stuff) you should. |
