I figured Shoeshine would be higher. Must be underseen.

It was too tough for me to watch Renoir's Diary of a Chambermaid after seeing Bunuel's. Moreau pretty much owned that role so I couldn't handle Goddard in it. Either way it was unlikely to make my list as this was a good year.

I was in Helen, GA back at Xmas time, went into a random little shop, and found the attached DVD version of Song of the South, brand new. $20. Haven't watched yet.

Is that the one with no mention of Walt Disney on the box?

Sure is, Dirt! I hadn't noticed that before. No mention on the back and no booklet inside. Region free disc.

I love Helen, Georgia. Been there a couple of times. Eine kleine Deutschland!

I love their little Swiss chocolatier shoppes, their open air riverside cafes, and their...

burgeoning bootleg DVD trade?!?

I keed!! :)

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting one of those. I'm tired of waiting for Disney to release the thing. I hear that print is pretty decent, with removable subtitles.

This is so odd on so many levels!

For some reason, I've never been to Helen, GA. One of my besties, a college friend who got her PhD in German, and has lived for most of her life in SC, she also has never been to Helen.

Carry on!

There's a big gap between the top eight and the rest of the field, so I will post the top 8 tomorrow.
