I rewatched Hot Fuzz a day or two ago, and I think I might have kicked it up a couple of notches if I were doing my list today.

A lot of the list so far was in my 20-30. And I think the Grindhouse, Death Proof, Planet Terror confusion canceled all of them out for me.

And that's the perfect Hot Fuzz image. I feel I underrated it at 19.

Also re-watched fairly recently - good stuff - but still find it a little long at 121 minutes. But then again this list has the 129 minute Knocked Up.

To some extent the length is part of the joke (as it's trying to ape the form of overstuffed Michael Bay movies and the like).

Anyway, like a lot of Wright's stuff, the humor tends to get better upon rewatch.

This list...I'm not feelin' it. I guess I'm not that fond of this particular year in film.

Well, I know you don't like #10 and probably not #1. The jury is still out on #3.

Yeah, it definitely keeps going and going. But the pace is so swift, with all the quick cuts, it never felt draggy to me. It's kind of amazing how so many of the laughs are achieved, or at least enhanced, through editing.
