kc, you should check out his old HBO special, which is on DVD, The Pee-Wee Herman Show, a precursor to the Saturday morning Playhouse, with a slightly more of an "adult" edge (ie., lots of innuendo). I highly recommend it.

Definitely agree about catching The Pee Wee Herman Show (what a cast!) and since it was movie (albeit a TV movie of a theatrical show), this guy would/could/should have been nominated (if only by me) for this consensus

And actually, Pee Wee's Playhouse had tons of more-adult innuendos...too obscure for kids to get 'em but delightful for adults. I've got the complete series on dvd laying about somewhere (or rather, everywhere) that I've got to round up from the kids and give it a safe home.

Anyone have any scoop on Pee-wee's Big Holiday ?

Daffy Duck makes a great cameo (along with tons of other fun folks) in Gremlins 2. A recent viewing reminded me of how that's one solid sequel.

PS Thanks, Russ! This is awesome

PSS Not Mel Blanc's Daffy, sadly

Yes Russ, this is awesome.

And again...I love this cameo. Not Mel but his son I think...

I don't know about that. Imdb calls it a "TV movie," but it sure looks like a one-hour TV special to me. Plus, it's basically the stage show, shot before a live audience. I love Jambi, but would have voted "nay" on his eligibility if it had come up here.

This scene reminds me of Rohmer's funny cameo in La marquise d'O:

Nick Charles (William Powell) – The Thin Man

My one complaint about this is I really think he's just one half of a double act. Nick wouldn't be nearly as funny without Nora, who is wonderful in her own right as well.
