I think Far from the Madding Crowd was my last cut. Too bad more hadn't seen Who's Minding the Mint? (keepin' it real, Russ!) or Danger Route, though there's no guarantee that others would've found them all that "list-able." |

I suspect Accident might have had a chance on my list if I'd seen it more recently. |

My last cuts: Japanese Summer The Dirty Dozen In the Heat of the Night The Two of Us Oedipus Rex Spider Baby Zatoichi Challenged Night of the Generals I know that's a lot, but it was a stacked year. Really disappointed that Firemen's Ball missed the cut. That's a gem of a film. |

I haven't seen Spider Baby, but Jill Banner, who played the title role, is also in The President's Analyst as the flower child named Snow White. After a few more flop films, some episodes of Dragnet, and an affair with Marlon Brando, she left Hollywood and took up real estate. She was just getting back into the film biz when she died in a car crash in 1982, aged 35. Way to bring the thread down, huh? |
