The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (Joseph L. Mankiewicz)

Dirt #1

I must add that, although I've seen this film many times, I only watch it with the sound muted, while listening to Klingon Opera, and appreciating its true meaning about the ambiguity of life and death (and the existential probability that they are all illusions) and the meaningless expression of emotion in a vacuum. Also, the subtext of the horrors of the hypocritical media elite is spot on.

Because, otherwise, it's sentimental....and I hate sentimental.

After all.....
There were more than a handful of Richard Widmark films scheduled today. The network programmers torment me.

Anyway, this is a great list. Some of my misses are because I just don't remember them well enough to rate...but they're great reminders to re-visit.

The title I most regret being unable to see.

I regret it too.

(Although it would have bumped a Lewin that I haven't seen.)

Yeah, it would have made the bottom half of my top ten. Oh well.
