Yes. I too was surprised because I thought I had included it. But I guess I must not have. |

 I remember liking this when it came out, but hated it on a rewatch. It's as subtle as a sledgehammer and about as clever as one too. I love seeing Black Cat, White Cat on the list. That film is cinematic anti-depressant. |

I had Pleasantville in there almost as an afterthought based on hazy memories of the original viewing. It could well be that the movie actually sucks and that my vote has caused all of this consternation. Sorry folks. This is how we get Donald Trump. |

I wouldn't apologize. The skin of the film might be obvious but the meat of the fruit is tender. Being unable to get past the skin is exactly why we get Trumps. I've watched this movie many times and still find it joyful, and terribly sad. The concept of change and diversity, for better or worse, is depicted in much more than the obvious inclusion of colors. The arc of belief and acceptance of a formulaic existence toward a chaotic life full of unimagined possibilities is gently played out by a great set of actors... who put their hearts into it. I know folks who still think the "Father Knows Best" lifestyle is the best. And I can't say how often I've seen realtors promote locales as reminiscent of Mayberry. That's the obviousness of the film....otherwise it's a heartwarming ode to individualism and appreciation of life. And it has Don Knotts. |

Who just died again recently, so maybe I should be more respectful. I dunno, maybe if I could bear a re-watch, I'd get it. I just remember thinking that those meddling kids (Reese and Tobey) caused all the problems there in "TV land," and then got all judgy about it. Obviously, my problem was getting past the premise, which I think most people probably just went with. If they'd gone back into the actual past, like Back to the Future, maybe it would have worked for me. I've mentioned before my occasional suspension-of-disbelief issues with science fiction premises. |

Yeah, I had no doubt about this being an orphan but I'll stay with my ranking even though it may be a bit outside the qualifications (different directors and all). This is an extraordinary miniseries. Good goodness...these folks where brilliant, brave and intrepid. I'm such a nerd, but I love this stuff. I watch "How The Universe Works" as often as I can...If not only to remind me that a photon created in the sun takes a million years to reach its surface and only eight minutes later to let me look at this computer monitor. (Ok...it's between tens of thousands years and a million years but, damn, that's impressive.) |

From the Earth to the Moon was fantastic and I would have included it, had I remembered. Gods and Monsters was a late cut. |

Almost voted for this, but hazy memories, etc. Looks like it did okay anyway. |
