I must admit I'm confused on how scoring works 'cause I would have thought, based on the ratings, that Bringing Up Baby would have placed higher than Pygmalion.

Whadda I know?

A Ryan Seacrest type.
Aaron's and Maxime's ballots were partial ballots, so a #1 on their ballots didn't score as much as a #1 on a full 20-film ballot.

Ahh - makes sense now.

And although I did not participate this time, I read and enjoyed the countdown. Mucho thanks to Mr vornporn for his work on this. Always appreciated.

Interesting that my partial list probably swung the vote. Holiday was one of those major omissions that made me consider not submitting a list all. And I had it out from the library but had to return it when I didn't watch by the due date.

So you are welcome to boo and yell out "George Cukor, George Cukor" while I smirk and pretend not to hear you. Although I do appreciate the enthusiasm of the Fugee delegation.

Great results. This was not the strongest year from what I've seen, but a fun countdown. I could have seen any of the top 4 landing on top.

Perhaps I'm the spoiler for this but Bringing Up Baby was never even a consideration for my list. IMO (of course) Pygmalion is a much better film in, well, everything.

But whadda I know? :)

I ended up putting Baby at #17, but I came pretty close to leaving it off as well. But my 17 - 20 were rather slight, so I threw Baby a (dinosaur) bone.
