30. Enter the Void (Russ #7, Cassius #11)

Totally blanked on watching this, which is streaming on both Netflix and Hulu. Though I can't say I was really looking forward to it, despite Russ's rave. I caught a big chunk of Love on Netflix, and I've seen I Stand Alone, and let's just say they didn't leave me itching for more. Nor did descriptions of Irreversible. But I'm still interested.

33t. Passing Strange (Karim #1)

Just remembered that you posted a link to this. Bummed that I didn't get to it.

Someday one of the Fugees will watch this, and feel the real. ;) Don't know how long that version will stay up on YouToob. And yes, my other half and I saw a great local production. I'm not always a big Spike Lee fan, but I'm forever grateful that he committed this musical to celluloid. Thanks, Spike. :)

That is terrific! The world missed out on the brilliance of Bruno.

Edit: I shrug off your accusations. The missus and I didn't compare lists, otherwise she'd have me collude on Spike Lee and 30 for 30.

I don't know, I see more evidence.

Coincidence that this is a Michael Fassbender movie? I THINK NOT.

I should have had some 30 for 30 on my list for this year, I admittedly gloss over them (as much as I've enjoyed several). Sorry, Karim! The USFL one is particularly interesting given the Trump part of the story. He's trying to do to America what he did to the USFL! :)

I just like hearing Ruxin yell collusion. The League was so good.

Probably only two 30 for 30s would make my list. The Two Escobars and OJ: Made in America. In fact, the latter is sitting at #1 so far this year.

And Shay's comment made us both lol. Terrible job at colluding with a pair o' 11s. ;)

This is the only Gaspar Noe movie that (to the best of my recollection) I have, or will, list. I found it to be much more successful than his other movies in merging some of his showier technical leanings to a transcendent message. That being said, I was conflicted including this on my list because I really don't enjoy his work at all. For me, I Stand Alone was nauseating but at least interesting (I suppose, as intended); Love was a bad combination of tedious and perplexing. I suspect that all those things also could be said about Enter the Void, but it held together much better - maybe like Irreversible, but without the 15 minutes of content that makes you want to throw up.

23. About Elly (Yancy #4, vornporn #10, Aaron #20)

If I was more organized I would have caught this one.

Bruno though, didn't see that coming.

Took the words out of my mouth, Conty. That documentary really made me hate Trump.

25. Secret of Kells, The (Russ #1, Karim #13)

I put this one in my queue just for this poll and promptly forgot about it. I've seen a couple of meh considerations for 2009 but there's a ton of good stuff just in the also-rans.
