Why does Jiggy hate Rio Bravo?

A few months back there was a fruitless debate in the FB Film Forum about Rio Bravo being "overrated" and/or inferior to El Dorado. The haters seemed to really have a problem with the lighter moments and the songs and Ricky and the supposed lack of chemistry between Duke and Angie. All I could really think was that they'd seen a different movie than I had.

El Dorado is on U.S. Netflix again by the way.

Not that I agree with them but it's kind of cool to know that some people like El Dorado so much...

Another deserter....
Some great reco's here (not that I needed the prodding to see Anatomy of a Murder, etc., I'm sure).

Maxime had the top four in exactly reverse order.

Probably would've had NbN a hair or two behind Rio Bravo myself, since I find it's indulgences (Cary Grant's drunken shenanigans) slightly (scratch that, significantly) less appealing than Wayne, Martin, hell, even Ricky Nelson's mostly absurd casting. The latter makes me smile, where Grant's over-playing usually makes me cringe at the obvious Your-Favourite-Star!-Acting-a-bit-of-a-lush! Maybe it's just that RB is so obviously a casual hang-out, where I'd like to be a little more invested in the thriller.
