Pokérus is a condition (something like a virus, but it's not harmful) that occurs at random. The purpose of this condition is to improve the rate of which you aquire Effort Points. While a Pokémon has this condition, it'll gain twice as many Effort Points. Combined with the Power item you'll have, EX: magikarp gives 1 speed + power item is 1+4=5 with Pokérus= 5x2=10 This will reduce the number of battles you'll have to face. Like any virus, Pokérus will spread to your other members without fail. Thus, if you are using all your Pokémon in a balanced manner when battling, you should notice a substantial increase in all your Pokémon's stats until Pokérus weas off (usually between 1 to 3 days) However, if you put a pokemon with the virus in a box, it will stop time, so if you put a pokemon in a box with Pokérus, if you check on it in 5 days, it will still have Pokérus. There isn't a lot of strategy to Pokérus, since it does happen randomly. The best you can do to take advantage of it is to set aside what you are doing and train your Pokémon for EV development until the effects go away. I wouldn't count on this to be a general strategy, so treat it like the 'special case'. That's about it, if you need help, just PM me. |

As far as i know in some pokemon games there is a virus ( not a real one just a virus for pokemon example a cold and stuff like that) that randomly can have it one of your pokemon. to check out if you have pokerus* you have to take it to pokemon centre and Nurse joy will tell you that your pokemon has it if not it will say the same thing over and over. the pokerus* is not harmful for those pokemon that are infected but its like sometype of stimulator because with pokerus* your pokemon will earn twice EV* in battle. The pokerus it goes off like after 1-3 days after you get it so if you want to give it a mass training you have to give it to him before pokerus* dissapears in some words i typed a * just in case some people don't exactly know what they are Pokerus: a pokemon virus that increases the stats of the infected pokemon EV: effort value |
