I am back up in Santa Barbara this weekend! Visiting my hubby We haven't seen each other since New Year's weekend - which we have decided is just too long! And I am not just talking about It was just a little tough getting here though I stayed up late getting everything packed and ready because I was going to drive up this evening after work. It didn't make sense to drive the hour home and then turn around Friday morning and go back the same way. But work started earlier than expected, one of our mom's water broke and she was in labor at about 2:30 this morning. So I loaded everything up and headed down to her house and got there about 4:30, I wasn't hurrying it was her first baby and we had time - we thought. Baby Marissa was born at 5:21 this morning She is really cute with thick long hair! So I figured if work started early, it could end early too and I headed north around noon. The tea from breakfast just wasn't enough caffeine though, but after a soda I was just fine We don't know what we are going to do yet, but that is OK. Maybe some touristy stuff. Just being together is all I care about.

Wow, what a day to have after such a short night! I'm glad mom and baby are doing well, and that you made the trip safely; long drives like that on little or no sleep can be pretty scary. Have a great weekend!!! |
